I thought Vela was disgraceful today. Despite being 'fresh' he just did a Denilson and gave up running with WBA players when they got the ball, Vela just slowly walked back, I was screaming at the lazy crunt to track back. He'll never make it in English football, it's too quick for him. He will do ok in Spain.

If Eboue (a very good backup for RB) is a winger, then Vela can play there for Arsenal. Both of them not in the level required in that role (Vela is shit as a striker as well)..

I don't even mean top clubs, just actual league games where he comes on and we need a goal like today?

How many league goals does he even have?

This tag of the best finisher at the club has to end. And for actual hold up play he is flipping pathetic as we seen at the Lane, he lost every ball.

sell sell sell
You won't find many international strikers willing to be 4th choice for you. Why sell?

He's a good option to have around, and he's definitely the best finisher at the club. Can't believe you're trying to deny him that.
Come on seriously when has he proved he is the best finisher?
The Milk Cup?

And even if he is, why does he never do it against proper sides? I for one don't paticularly rate RVP, Chamakh or Bendtner as top class, but at least they have proven they can finish when needed against top clubs.
Thats becasue the 3 strikers u have mentions can all play up top on their own, vela cannot.

You will never see united play hernandez upfront on his own, because he is a 442 striker like vela.

Vela off of a big man or bergkamp type player.

How can you not see that ?

Exactly he comes on, for what the last 10 mintues?

He needs a run of games starting to prove him self not brought on when we are cruising or getting spanked.

What the lazy *word censored* needs is some fireworks up his arse, to be told he should be getting involved more rather than constantly giving the ball t clichy, and that it's ok to challenge properely other players, even if one of his hairs falls out of place, cos god forbid the guy ever does anything which makes that happen. He needs to show that he wants it, then he might get games.

Just got in from that shit heap of a match. I had a blinding seat 2nd row upper tier west stand, right behind the BBC commentary position (Jonathan Pearce) and the main match camera.

Vela was right in front of me when he came on and whilst he wasn't the worst offender today - he was totally ineffective. He didn't create one genuine threat and he just looked like a lad having a kickabout in the park.

He would probably do well in Spain / Portugal or Italy but he is totally unsuited to our Premier League. Far too lightweight, got absolutely no bottle and goes AWOL when we're under pressure.

The only time he shines is when we're dominating against much weaker teams (Sheff Utd / Braga). F**k knows what Arsene sees in him but then Arsene picks Almunia / Diaby / Eboue etc.

Maybe, but I'll not pretend I want to see a player come on and do what he did today.

He may turn out well, but the guy really needs a kick up the arse. He didn't seem bothered at all.

It's enough with Arshavin, these players need to realise they have to work their bollocks off week in week out. As someone said earlier Vela seems more suited to Spain like Reyes. He actually reminds me completely of Reyes except not near as good.

Anyway, give me a Kevin Davies type over the likes of this guy.
