Right next to Bayswater tube...

185 per week though but that should be alright with savings and a part-time job?
yeah, that's what i'm trying to figure out. i really don't know what a 20hour-a-week job can get me, but on my own savings i can pay for a place like that plus other expenses for like half a year or a little more, but then will i find a part time job that pays for all that? 185 a week seems a lot to my brazilian eyes

are things a lot cheaper as i go away from central london?
Yes mate London is the most expensive part of Britain and prices drop pretty quickly as you go outside but obvoiusly you need to take travel costs into consideration then.

Well the minumum wage is like £6 something an hour, thats if your working legitly. So 20 hours a week would get you probably around £100 a week.

Rent might get cheaper as you travel out but then you've got to pay more for travel expenses.

Can't you get any tax dodger (student) digs on campus??
It may not be the cheapest option but you will make plenty of contacts with other students and could end up house sharing close to where you need to be.
Also, you will be able to shag yourself into oblivion :barscarf:

I can also give you a bit of local knowledge - Talad Thai. Opposite from me, curry rice and a beer for about £7/£8, comes in 15 minutes, it is bloody tasty and most of all filling! Fantastic... :barscarf: :barscarf:

It's actually quite easy to get up to the Arsenal - 50 minutes to an hour and I would say 25/30 to Bayswater - put it this way it takes my brother 25 to Westminster tube at rush hour so you should be fine. Safe area too.
