3 yawns for Arsene - hip, hip, Zzzzzzzzzz

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

That is the best sentence I have read in a long long time.

But not in a good way.

And the losses you mention are exactly that, 'losses', and every team has them . I'd like to know the time frame over which these losses came. I'm sure you'll find we don't lose that often but when we do, the easilty-rattled, under commited supporter pipes up claiming they know best with only the 'interest of the club' at heart. My backside :banghead: . It's pure self interest and glory hunting. If you've got nothing good to say, say nothing
:coffeespit: Song more mobile than Michael Essien and Xavi Alonso??

:coffeespit: Only Wesley Sneijder "comes close" to Song??

What planet are you on mate?? And you want to know the time frame over which the losses I mentioned occurred?? Surely as an Arsenal fan you'll know that they've all occurred in the last 2 years - and I'm sure you also know that Man Utd and Chelsea have won EVERY domestic honour in those same last 2 years!

You also say that anyone questioning the Manager / players after those defeats is "easilty-rattled, under commited supporter pipes up claiming they know best with only the 'interest of the club' at heart".

You need to take your own advice my friend - i.e. "if you've got nothing good to say, say nothing".

Do you have a link - if you do I think we have every right and reason to ask what's going on. After all Keith Edelman suggested exactly the opposite back when we signed Jose Reyes.

EDIT - I found it - it confirms the Board and manager have deliberately lied to the supporters and destroyed the m,ost successful Arsenal team ever solely to enrich themsleves anyione who says otherwise simply does not want to admit they trusted people they should not have.
Erm the position of chief propaganda merchant to Hitler stopped being advertised 65 years ago.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... enger.html

This is the link and it says nothing of the sort.

The main criticism here is the Wage Bill. We pay a similar level of wages (only 10% behind Chelsea) to the top Premier League sides but we don't have anywhere near the similar calibre of player.

I believe Wenger is scared of losing a player on a free who ends up being a star on the world stage and has ended up paying top wages to a lot of mediocre footballers.
I think it would be very interesting to see what is paid to the players of the top 4 clubs as a comparison mechanism

Our large wage bill though is a bit of a red herring as it includes all sorts of wages for stadium catering staff, scouts, medical team, etc, etc not just the players.

Now that would be a good comparison wouldn't it - just the playing staff of each club would show exactly where we are - but that is not going to happen.

The truth is we pay too much to too many who are either not deserving of it or are too happy to take it without earning it through good old blood, sweat and tears.

If we trimmed a few of the peripheral figures who are on decent money we could afford one or two, world class (or even top international class) performers to make the difference in the matches when we need it most ie Mancs and Chelsea.

You're right - the problem right now is according to the manager we will not do it, because we are determined to operate under this same wage structure which is basically the opposite iof the pre-2005 wage structure as afr out as 20 years from now. Now unless you believe you will see Arsene Wenger just as frusrtated at 71 or 81 years of age on the Stamford Bridge Touchline as he was yet again today I think it's a sfae bet this wage structure is the Board's policy, and there will be no change at all under his successor now or in 2015 or 2020 or whenver he steps down or is forced out or sacked even.

You do make me laugh - and not just because you're possibly the least knowledgeable Arsenal fan to post on this Forum.

Alonso is "known" as a holding midfielder that has won the European Cup, the European Championship and World Cup with club and country. When Song has got a collection of medals like that I'll agree with you. Until then I'll just keep chuckling at your posts.

I'm even laughing in anticipation at your mis-informed response to this.

Same old story. Disagree with certain members and get labelled a WUM

I thought the ' Sh*t for brains ' was quite funny and made more for the comedy value than out of nastiness. Nevermind. ( pair of over sensitive queens  )
