Pires back at Arsenal

On 2nd thoughts, don't resign him. He doesn't deserve to have his reputation damaged, and be associated with the current garbage team.

They aren't fit to lick the mans boots.

Wouldn't it be just remarkable if Pries scored the winner if we got into a final this year.

Pires made 284 appearances for Arsène Wenger's side from 2000 to 2006, scoring 84 goals during that time. He won the League and FA Cup 'double' twice, scored the winner in the 2003 FA Cup Final and was voted Footballer of the Year in 2002

 ...did i miss one?!

fucking pravda

Sorry, but has every one that thinks that there is even a remote chance of Wenger signing him, read this part of the opening post .....

"He's training with us for 2 weeks now. He's always happy when he's on the ball. Physically, he's good, he can be helpful in the French league."

Turnip not giving him the two year contract he wanted was the single worst decision ever made by any Arsenal manager, ever.

Closely followed by AW taking him off in the CL final.

No, that was Campbell telling Wenger that he could be helpful in the Turkish league.

True, but Sol is a centre half.

Agree.

Do not think he would be competitive in Premier League now though.

Even if he brought him back for the Carling Cup and the null-and-void game six of the CL group stage I'd still be over the moon.
