As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I just think it's fair to point out that in fact this is the first thread I have opened this week that addressed the Board specifically in any way, and if you read the posts opening the other two threads that is quite clear. I am not trying to have a go here and as I say I hope we can discuss this further via PM because I like and respect you and I sense the same from you, but as I say I do think it's fair to point that out here.
The issue is though if you post a thread about the Man Utd game it should be just a post on the Man Utd game thread. We (the mods) are only letting this "Mailbag" idea run to contain the Board stuff in one place, Martin.
So if you want to post about the Man Utd game do so on that thread. Use the "Mailbag" for Board stuff only. There can't be one rule for everyone and another for you. I feel we are being more than accomodating by letting this mailbag thread idea progress.
Justr keep the Board stuff here and any other stuff on the relevent threads. If there isn't a thread on some issue you want to discuss than certainly start one. But (as I have explained before) the owners of the website and forum don't want multiple threads about the same subject. And I think most members don't want that either as it makes the place annoying to surf.
Only other option is you forget this idea and go back to posting whatever threads you want and if they are repeats they will be locked. I really can't do much more for you, mate.
I agreed with most of USmartin's initial post until he mentioned the word board. He made some good points about the managers that could possibly replace AW and I completely agree with him that without further investment those managers may not be able to better AW and on the contrary may turn out to be worse to be honest.
Its all a matter of how much money is available to AW. While we have heard noises from both camps (AW and the Board) that there is money to spend we are not sure who we can point the finger at for the lack it.
Given the above I do feel that at the moment we have a stronger squad than Man United and Chelsea and AW has been tactically found wanting on more than a couple of occasions. Can the other managers on the list change this? I don't know and neither can anyone else as well.

That sems perfectly reasonable except that you stated specifically that I had been posing mutiple thread about the Board when in fact I was not. Now you seem to be saying that the fact that they were not multiple threads about the Board is the problem if I understand you correctly. Can you clarify this please?
As to the whole multiple thread concept - it strikes me that even if this not how it is intended when you put that in play it serves to censro ceratin views. After all there are plenty of multiple threads here about the future of the club and the manager and certain people post in all the same and basically post the smae things - to paraphrase that the sole problem is tha t Arsene Wenger is simply as miseerly stubborn deluded *word censored* and should fuck off. It seems this singluar view being re-posted over and over in any number of threads is somehow acceptible here, despite it being very offensive to many despite hi-jacking threads, and despite it not being fully proven to be true.
Why is that? It seems utterly inconsistent with the attitude about my doing the very same thing. But that is not the real issue. The real issue is that if I respond in the same thread to their points by offering a counterpoint I am said to be hi-jacking and killing threads by forum members and when I seek a solution that allows me to respond without being accused of hi-jacking the threads - which I even discussed with moderators ahead of time - and a solution that in fact I should not have been forced by mob behavior to undertake, I suddenly am still at fault for at least showing the maturity and level-headedness to compromise and be as considerate as I can be. Is that so unfair or unreasonable on my part?
It is a fair point you bring up about hi-jacking threads but why use 3 paragraphs and over 300 words to do it when it is not needed.
I think the main problem most people on here have with you is not your views on the threads it is the length of the posts you make and the repetitive nature between the posts and during the posts. It is almost like 'if I say it enough you will belive me'
Make it shortish to the point and stop with the rambling on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on

And the fact that is all one way. This is a forum, US, not your own personal blog.

g88ner - the thing is there is only one person who has shown he may have it in for me personally, and I'm not even sure that person does so much as they take such exception to my views on certain issues. And I do think many here are going out of their way to try and limit the expression of those views.
I think if you honestly asked the most vocal critics of me whether they agreed with my views I think well know the answer would be better than 90% do not. And that on its own is perfectly fair and reasonable. The problem arises with attempting to impose limits on discussions covering points they do not desire being discussed.
We obviously disagree on the issue ityself as well as the debate over how its debated but I would never say you had it in for me based on any of our exchanges.

I don't quite know what to make of this because the first part of quite rididculous in my mind because in the second part not only do you contraict the first part but you make a very good reasonable point and its the point I am making - we do not what exactly is going on and the information we are given only clouds matters further. I think we need to know what is going on and why because while we may have little or no money invested beyond season tickets or whatever we have our hearts and souls invested in Arsenal Football Cluib now and forever and so what is actaully happening and why should matter to all of us. That's all I am trying to get across really.

I agree to an extent here. I sincerely believe the gap has closed in the squads quality although I am not of the belief our squad is actually better than United or Chelsea's honestly. I trhink with a bit of additional investment I would agree with your assessment and that is what makes Monday and this whole season already so frustrating - we could be in position to walk this year's League and instead we look destined to battle for thrid and maybe fourth again.
For that to happen again when Chelsea is as poor as its been since before 2004 really and United perhaps poorer than since before the Premier League actually began is simply stunning and inexcusable - whoever is to blame - and makes seeking the truth on that even more important tome and should to all of us.
