Bendtner - is he Thierry Henry or Lenny Henry??

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

He also has the touch of Lennie from Of Mice & Men.

Yesterday looked like a definite case of him being asked to play out on the left though, rather than him drifting out there Thierry-style. That was all Wenger.

Brilliant
Not sure I can claim credit for that tbh. I'm sure I heard that somewhere else before, just dont know where.

FREUD's theory was that it was our mask to face the world but he believed that at base we were something rather nasty.
Bit unfair that analogy (for Bendtner) - i think
Freud? In a Bendtner thread? Besides, Freud was bonkers.

Mmmmm... mummy! :-P
And he was obsessed with fucking his own mother. The weirdo arsehole.
Mind you, if she looked like that who could really blame him?

NIcklas Bendtner obviously has some talent - you have to have some talent to reach pretty much the lowest professional level even. He has more talent thatn that. But his ego and immaturity have blocked it from being developed any further really over the last several years.

I always hear how hard Nik works on the pitch and I shrug my shoulders because what's the point of working hard all day outside the oppopnents penalty area then going missing as soon as youre inside it when you a striker and a big striker like he is too?

Nik can be quite effective when he wants to be - the problem is he only seems to want to be when he wants to earn a place in the first eleven. Once he has clinched that he seems content to fanny about the whole match, ignoring gilt-edged chance after gilt-edged chance inm the box, especially seemingly unable to ever go after balls that don't simply fly straight to him. He's lazy when his ego is satisfied it seems and in this team we can't afford anyone to be lazy like that. Song used to be too - remember his performance home v s***s - that night - laughing and joking as he was brought on caught out again and again as s***s went right through him repeatedly like he wasn't there? Song has learned and grown into a mature decent player who can make us a bit better than we were. Nik is an immature kid still unfortunately who can't because he isn't willing to.

Right - I'll ask the question again after his performance today against Leeds.

Bender; Thierry Henry or Lenny Henry??

Actually Henry VIII would be a bigger threat up front cos Bender is SHIT!! The only place he's any good is inside his own massive head.

He poses no goal threat; he doesn't rough up opposing centre halves; he's shit when he drops deep with his stupid little lay offs; his control is appalling; his decision making is always wrong.

I just wanna punch his face and I'm a pacifist (normally!!)
