As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

@ Wayno, That'll be one of those cases where the tickets have been sold, but the people havent shown up (ST holders who couldn't make it etc.)..its all about tickets sold..

As for the Vieira song I've never sung it before (since he left) but I think it was party time a little bit and was just a bit of a crack..there were some good one's last night:

Ohh Rocky Rocky!!
Robin van Persie!!
Vieira!! (and the oooOOHH bits)
Ian Wright, Wright, Wright!!
We've got Dennis Bargkamp!!
Number one, is Perry Groves...
One Tony Adams, There's only one Tony Adams

and I liked
Happy Birthday to you x3
Happy Birthday, Mr. Wenger, happy birthday to you!!

Are you sure its based on tickets sold? if that was the case it should be a sell out every week.
i thought it was done on how many people showed up.
But somtimes it doesnt add up does it.

yeah mate, if you saw the Slavia end there was probably 3-400 odd empties..should make up the numbers we were missing..

On the whole if it doesn't sell out, its a reflection of away tickets sold, rather than our lot..any big game where the visiting team take all the tickets will be a sell out.

It certainly looked less than 59000 on my TV, Have Arsenal been massaging the attendance figures
Yes, because since Freddie left there's very little else to massage

I believe Man City are the pioneers in this. No wonder their attendances are UP.

So, no, I can't tell you about the atmosphere but I can do relationship counselling. :?

I must admit from where I was (block 27) there didn't seem to be any empty seats. I wonder if its something to do with UEFA, sponsor tickets etc. Remember at Highbury  they always used to have to leave loads of seats empty on CL nights.

Maybe its a PR exercise by the club so far since the new stadium opened no CL game or League game has had a gate under 59,000.last night. If it is the case that season ticket holders are not turning up for every game and their seats are left empty i would be very angry if i was a Red member, who are desparate to get to any game

Ahhh. everything is falling into place. With the people still there and the empty seats from people leaving - it spells out the phrase:

"FUCK FIFA"

UEFA are manipulating us!
