For those who didn't make it to the game last night and watched it on ITV's premier channel, how did the atmosphere come out on tele?
I thought from where I was in the ground there was good noise, not many points where it went quiet, and the Slavia fans played their part in giving us goons a bit of competition and banter to liven it up..
Heard loads of songs, some old, some new, and at times it was deafening, but how did it come out?
This comes from browsing that comedy spurs forum, a couple of them talking about it being quiet, hence the new sig..
thoughts?

No, again we had the usual close up camera shot of people leaving en masse
Poor old Nicklas - score his goals while everyone's in the queue for the tube
As for the TV, I was watching in a bar, on normal sized TV, with music on, with Rangers/Man U on big screens, sitting right by the door because of angle of TV, with guy behind me discussing his relationship problems. So, no, I can't tell you about the atmosphere but I can do relationship counselling.

I think the atmosphere is improving every game.
The Champions League games do suffer from the suit syndrome. I can't work out if these are ordinary gooners who are in suits cos they've just arrived from work and behave differently because of it or whether its a completely different bunch of people. I do know I got the closest ever to losing my rag with a couple of blokes last season who spent the entire match even immediately after the goals talking about what was going on in the office at the tops of their voices.
I always stay until the end but i do have sympathy for others. It is really difficultto get away from AG. i have a pretty decent journey home but if i miss a train it can be nearly midnight by the time I get there. There are at a lot of Gooners who go out my way to Portsmouth and Southampton. They'll be lucky to get indoors by 1, and with all the engineering work going on at night it could be a lot later.
The people who really piss me off are those who arrive 5 minutes late, go out for a drink 5 mins before half time, and come back 5 mins late, then leave 5 mins early. then if anything happens while they are trying to get out they just stop and block everyone's view!

Having been only in club level in the new stadium (my mate's season tickets are there) I thought the early leavers were only up there and I hate them with a vengeance.
But last night the lower tiers were half empty at 6-0
. Even the commentator on Setanta said "What? Is six goals not enough for them?!" when the camera panned over to show people leaving early... it's embarrassing.
STAY UNTIL THE BLEEDING END OR GIVE YOUR TICKET TO SOMEONE THAT WILL!!

When the 7th goal went in at least 20,000 had already left.It looked really bad on the highlights. Why couldn"t they stay to appauld the team off after such a wonderful performance?rebel gooner wrote:seem ok to be honest,, nothing special,, didnt look great with people leaving and we 7 goals to the good

Atmosphere came across as ok but not fantastic. Can't understand why we still sing for Viera? Heard Rocky's name and fully respect that
and also are you Tottenham in disguise
As for the tossers leaving early, just how much entertainment do these cnuts need to be willing to stay until the end
Also there seemed to be a hell of a lot of empty seats throughout the stadium from the off which suprised me.

The Bolton section on saturday was only half full yet the attendance was announced as 59,400.How can that be?Wayno wrote:It certainly looked less than 59000 on my TV, Have Arsenal been massaging the attendance figuresthatgooner wrote:Yeah but when you consider that the chavs only got 24,000 against rosenborg, 59,000 isnt a bad effort.![]()
