1 to 1000 (GAMBLING)
Its not a bad plan in principal, you'd need some stones to carry it through to the 9th bet though.
If I hit on the 6th I'd probably walk away there. I only ever put 3 figures on a bet twice (both came in at 2/1) and swore after the second I would never do it again.
The theory of only losing £1 is sound as anything else lost would be profit, just wouldn't feel like it at the latter stages.

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again...............RossieGooner wrote:Great start....![]()
Bet a feckin neck.
Never mind - am all of a euro down. Am going to try 5 days running to see if can get off the mark and then if no joy am finally going to concede i am a shite punter !!
and at least you're not gambling with my money

The idea of continually doubling up always sounds good, but i remember reading somewhere that as a theory its fucked and ends with you losing everything!
I've always thought the easiest way to make money through gambling is on betfair (and I reckon loads of folk do this already). Have accounts on lots of football forums with different usernames (maybe even more than one username on each so you can back yourself up as it were) and when a managers job comes up, post a bullshit rumour on all of them- something not ridiculous, but that is never going to happen. So, if Wenger left Arsenal, start a rumour that Laurent Blanc had been offered the job (everyone knows Wenger will have a big say in the successor, Blanc is French, job done). Post it on all the sites (or all the main ones), have some twitter accounts and post it there as well. Its amazing how quick a rumour can spread and loads of people would throw a daft few quid on, which obviously shortens his odds. Then go to betfair and lay it- people take you up on it thinking they have an inside scoop and you take their money. If you had a few of you doing this it would be even easier to spread the rumour. Admittedly you'd need one less likely than Blanc I suppose, because it would be a *word censored* if he got the job randomly! Maybe suggest Tony Adams or something mental!
