1 to 1000 (GAMBLING)

It's all a load of Cannonballs in here! This is the virtual Arsenal pub where you can chat about anything except football. Be warned though, like any pub, the content may not always be suitable for everyone.

1 to 1000 (GAMBLING)

Post by RossieGooner »

Right............ if u dont like, are afraid of or think gambling is for mugs etc etc click on the back button now. No anti gambling comments or warnings bout the dangers of gambling etc welcome here.

A mate of mine was telling that few years back he tried a couple of times to go from 1euro to 1000euro in 10 bets at even money or so. He got it on the 3rd attempt. Was thinking bout giving it a go.

There is no time scale, but i was thinking about going over the course of 3 weeks or so. AS i know a lot on here like a flutter, any ideas or tips most welcome. Dont mind what the bet is on, be it horses, dogs, footie, etc, but i aim to place the bet on about even money shots.

I will post details each time i bet.

You want to turn £1 into £1000???

What are the odds of that happening

Footy accumulators are the only way of really getting over 1000/1 but almost impossible to pull off.

Try and put a quid on something really random, like middleton tripping up while walking down the isle.

No, the idea is to place one bet today at even money or thereabouts. It wins, i now have €2. Next bet is €2 at even money whenever i feel something worth placing bet on comes up. Each time on even money - doubling up each time. 10 seperate bets, placing winnings on next one each time Bren.

Ah i get ya.

My favourate bet is alway a tricast on the greyhounds, never look at the odds or form and just go for 1,2,3 and double your winnings if they come in that order.

Won over £300 before christmas on a fiver bet.

I would stick to the football as I'm normally pretty good at picking out bankers and those at short odds. It's when I get greedy that i start throwing it away.

Why I'd probably struggle with this as I'd always be looking for doubles, trebles and accumulators. Very rarely do I bet on a single result.

United are 6/5 to win tomorrow.

I would lay Inter but odds will be pretty short.

I am the same - usually pretty good at picking 2 or 3 teams to win - then i get into bookies, pick up coupon, mark off my 2 or 3 selections and then ALWAYS make mistake of looking down thru rest of coupon ...then a little voice in my head (i'm convinced it's actually Paddy Power) says "They'll surely win too...and them...and them".

And of course i add them all in - u know yourself wat happens then .... :banghead:

This is purely one bet at a time though. So i am gonna start tomorrow by walking into the bookies and slapping me €1 on the counter on one selection, whatever it may be.....

I did the Score or Bore bet yesterday and Leicester let me down for €100 odd from a €2 stake :banghead:

I think I might give it a go too, at least until I get bored anyway. What have you to lose, a euro every now and then!

Anyone who bets on horses - is a mug.

Anyone who bets on fixed match odds football - is a bigger mug.

Anyone who thinks someone actually done this - is an even bigger mug.

There is one bet, and one bet only, to place on football and have an edge on the bookie, especially Paddy Power because they are clueless when pricing up this type of bet. It so happens there are one of the few firms that do.

And no, you can fuck off, I'm not tellin u what it is

this is a quick way to the poor house - doubling up all the time when you have a feeling for an evens money shot

trading is the only way , or to find a certain stat that pays year in year out

Right - first yoyo has gone on Mongoose Alert in Lingfield 3.30 @ 5/4. Will get bigger odds if it returns bigger.
