Flanimal Planet

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The boy done good, fantastic finish for the goal and a Nutty Winterburn celebration to go with it.

With Wenger's hint that he's going to sign a defender in January, there will definitely be no role for Gilberto and he'll be off to Turin.

You can see it in action here. Perhaps he's saying he's a hero that runs around like a loon.

He is the best defensive midfielder we have and that's saying something with the likes of Diarra and Diaby still in the team (although Bert is the Brazil national team captain, he is my 4th pick in that position). The way that he got stuck in today was just what we were missing last season.
agreed, he was outstanding on Sat, from putting his foot in, to being a genuine goal threat. At the moment is our form midfielder with Cesc and Hleb being out and will be really important in the next couple of away games..

I was at the match and we did sing the Sweeney/Flamini song...okay, only twice, and not everyone joined in! But it's a start.

Flamini was brilliant, in the second-half he was yelling at everyone to get them behind the ball, he was bossing the midfield in a way I've not seen him do before.

As for Diarra, he'll do a couple of good things...then give the ball away, fair enough he'll then go and give it back, but he's still to much of a rough diamond to be ahead of bert.

100% right mate. I did try to get the sweeney/Flamini song going down the front but it was a bit of a solo. Flamini was best player on park 1st half I thought. And what you say about Diarra is true. He did some great work had a couple of shots but did a few silly passes to Villa players. But defo more possitive than negative. Think I would pick him in front of bert cos he is the future.

Flamini reminds me of Big Tone or Ray Parlour - works his bleeding arse off for 92 minutes and seems to have The Arsenal Spirit dripping from him, whilst not being the greatest technically.

look back at his goal celebrations last year and you'll see the desire/mentalness was starting to show then. :D

He deserves a song, so here's my tribute to him, using an old favourite ...... :

We love you Matty,
because you've got French hair,

We love you Matty,
cause you're everywhere,

We love you Matty,

cause you're Arsenal through and through . . . .

The Flamster derseves every bit of praise coming to him.Remember how brilliant he was at left back in the great champions league run until he lost his place to that greedy little crunt Cashley. This is the year of the Flamster

I've thought of a song for Flamini, don't know what u think. To the chorus of good enough by dodgy. If u don't know here's a link.

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=lHS9jaINb0k

He's good enough for you, He's good enough for me
He's good enough for two, He's our only Flamini.

Shall i get my coat.
