He has the occassional good game against lesser opponents but overall his play does not produce end results eg assists or goals on a consistent level.
He is way behind Ramsey, Wilshere and I'd say even Song in terms of influencing attacking play.
One thing that has always puzzled me is how he is described by many Arsenal fans as a defensive midfielder, surely he is the most out-and-out attack minded midfielder we have?
Other than that I welcome his return from injury and pray he improves significantly.

And to be fair mate I have never been one of those that had been converted by song either - form is fleeting but class (or lack thereof in these cases) is permanent so while both have shown glimpses of good performances it hasnt been enough to justify them still being on the AFC payroll imo.
Like donaldo has already said, it will be interesting to see if the fans let him know how pissed off we all were at his scum shirt wearing story - for me treachery is treachery and he should be reminded of that but I feel that cos he is widely disregarded by most Gooners he will escape a backlash that somebody like arshavin or walnut would receive

I don't think I hate a footballer more than I hate Diaby. Gormless, scum shirt-wearing, fucktard. Lets hope he gets a double fracture, ankle and neck, in the pre-game warm-up.
What was his last meaningful contribution in an Arsenal shirt?
Was it getting sent off at St James's Park last season whilst we were 4-0 up? You can date last season's collapse from then. Fucking dickhead.

I think this is actually a bad thing for Arsenal.
Diaby is one of the laziest and most inconsistent players we have. He offers a little bit of dribbling skill to unlock poor, bottom-fourth teams, but in big games he is woefully inadequate. His performance against Barcelona a couple years ago was so dreadful I honestly questioned if he was being paid to throw the game.
I would much rather see Rosicky and Benayoun ahead of him. Unfortunately Wenger appears to have a great deal of faith in this player and will probably slot him in before we know it.
