I actually hope United do win it now.
NASRI left and won the title so lets hope RVP does it too. you can't blame the players, they are bing driven out of the club because of a lack of ambition from the board downwards.

it might take RVP being a success at United for Arsenal supporters to realise what mugs they are being by continuing to fund an American billionaire who does not give a shit about the club.

augie wrote:Rob your point about wenger never targeting manure players as signings is a moot point cos the c**t has a history of not buying proven talent so they wouldn't be even on his radar

Secondly we all know that ferguscum would never sell a valued player to us so why would wenger consider bidding for them ? Kinda shows up the difference in mentality of the two clubs doesn't it ?  :banghead:
Wenger did target Sylvestre :rubchin:

Wasn't Silvestre a freebie, hardly courting a player is it. I'm talking about Ferge being seriously hard for Arsenal players like he was for Adams and Vieira, Nasri. Agreed Wenger would never go for their players, even if he had a budget he would never assemble a team of superstars purchased from the rest of the league.

A lot of people posting here are new fans I think that weren't around for the hatred in the late 90's. I hated United more than Spurs, they were a vile team that sucked up the Premiereship talent and it was beautiful to watch us topple them with rough diamonds from around the World. We were 'french', full of foreigners, unpatriotic, only to see Fergie go down the Arsneal route and all the crap they spurted about us was suddenly acceptable.

Rvp came along towards the end of that run but understood the culture and feeling towards United. Then he signs for them, I'm sorry City I could accept but United no.

Dear United Fans

Signing RVP doesn't make your midfield any less shit.

Sincerely

Arsenal will never win the league again until we get in the real world. You dont win anything on a shoestring. We have a richer man than Abramovich as our second biggest shareholder yet he is not given a seat on the board.

The 3 players we brought in have cost us over £40m but with the sales of RVP Song and Walcott we will actually make a profit and thats what its all about to Kroenke and Gazidis.Profits not trophies.

We exist first and foremost to make money, if we win something along the way that is a bonus.

The business model is working beautifully right now, it sells out every week, it performs consistently year in year out, it spends less than it rivals and manages to do this whilst stripping its major assets at huge profits. The next generation of players then begin the same cycle, ad so it goes on.

Until this model is disrupted expect no changes.

Agree. He was there when Rooney cheated to end our unbeaten run and in 8 years must be able to gauge the hatred towards United, now he's going to be playing and hanging around with him.

People talk about the rivalry being gone, and there's a valid point to be made given that we're not their main threat on the pitch unlike a decade ago. However, I'd wager you'd be hard-pressed to find many genuine Gooners who are ambivalent towards United's constant PR bullshit, the fact they mine the talent from any other PL clubs and then accuse City of buying the league and their vast fanbase of glory-hunting cretins. Equally, you'd struggle to find a United fan (genuine or otherwise) who isn't comprehensively smug about our demise, us being an easy 3 points up there EVERY year, the odd hammering and about signing our captain, far more so than they'd be with doing it to Everton or somebody of their ilk. In footballing terms we are certainly no longer their equal, but the general rivalry is still there undoubtedly. I struggle to envisage any scenario in which I could forgive a player for fucking off to United. I despise everything that City stand for but at the end of the day it wouldn't have been as bad because they're not United.

My letter would go something like this.

Dear utd fans.
You don't know how lucky you are under the Glaziers in comparison with ourselves with our silent Yank owner. How envious I am of your manager, who has once again shown that failure by the narrowest of margins, is totally unacceptable and thus has strengthened his squad in response to this. His ability to re-invent your style of play and adapt to the modern game is admirable, whilst we are stuck with a fucking deluded senile dinosaur.
Your managers respect for yourselves, the club and it's traditional rivalries is also commendable as shown when he refused to sell Heinze (even though he was deadwood) to the victims and Rooney to Citeh. Where ours will prostitute the club to anyone who has the money.
PS You are still a shower of c u n n t s.

 edit: just saw that someone else mentioned Tweetie Pie

No, but seriously, I'd imagine the reason that we don't try and buy their players is because Wenger already knows Ferguson would tell him to fuck off. Ferguson knows, on the other hand, that Wenger would sell him his first born fucking child if the price was right.
