Moutinho is a world class player and Lloris is a little bit good as well.

They're a serious threat to our ambition to retain the 4th Place Trophy this season, as are Liverpool increasingly too. Four-horse race and we've surrendered our advantage.

Look we got 4th last season cos those scummy c**ts capitulated with the finishing line in sight and that shouldn't be forgotten. Yes they have had some upheaval since but they brought in vertoghan and dembele who most Gooners wanted us to buy and they look like adding one of the best midfielders in Europe (moutinho) plus if they get Lloris as well then they will have seriously seriously upgraded. I know many point to the departure of the tax dodger but let's us not forget that he is only won 1 trophy in his "distinguished" career ( ) and have replaced him with a manager that won more in one season

Sooner or later our luck is going to run out and I fear that day is coming very soon :(

It won't be this season that's for sure.

They haven't upgraded, they've sideways stepped.

this summer was the golden opportunity for Arsenal to bring in some top class players as CL qualification had been assured and there should have been plenty of money available from the sales of Cesc, Nasri, RVP and Song in the past year.

But no, the profits come first for the club. Disgusting.

no matter how sh1t we are spurs will always find a way to be worse.

Yes they have ambition but its always been misguided. They've sold Modric as much as a I rate Dembele is not better than Modric.

lol sp*rs.

So thats why we built the Concrete bowl with a capacity of 60,000 to finish 1pt and one place above the Spuds. There used to be a time when if we only finished 20 points ahead of them it was a bad season for us.They havent got better we have slipped to their level.Whatever happened to trying to win trophies?

Spurs have invested heavily to still finish below us. They had a good team last year. Yes they finished a point behind us but they were so far ahead that no team should collapse like that.

I'll say again, Mouthinio and Carzola are similar, with Carzola edging it imo. Lloris is a good GK but they already have one of those.

This fixation with Spurs from some of you on here is unhealthy. Worry about The Arsenal.

I think the issue here is how the Spuds RESPOND to their players leaving.

So, VDV and Modric go?
Moutinho (potentially) comes in and he and Cazorla are about the same level tbh.

They already have two keepers on their books but the position is weak, so what do they do? Address it by signing a keeper that is, and you can quote me on this, MILES superior to the gobby Pole who's never performed in a big match (unless he's conceding 8 at OT).

Now no one is sure where they will finish BUT, as pointed out by others, they should have finished ahead of us last season and it took an act of God (also known as Marton Fulop) for Arsenal to scrape ahead. They almost did it under Jol too. They have been catching Arsenal up for years in fact and sooner or later, it's gonna happen.

What's really sad to see though, is all this 'Mind that Gap' bollocks.
Highest ticket prices in the world, massive cash reserves, wage bill of over £125 million and the fans' main ambition is finishing ahead of the Spuds. It's become our cup final finishing ahead of them, 4th has become the trophy. It's pathetic really, what have Arsenal become under that :censored: Wenger? How far has he allowed standards to slip?

Lloris will be number 1 with Friedel as back up.Our back up is Manonne/Flappy :banghead: :banghead:

They just got a ridiculous sum for Modric, and VDV is gone. They have a new manager who needs players that suit his style and the club's fans demand another CL spot challenge. Of course they're going to invest. I wouldn't call that "ambition" as much as "sense".

Moutinho for a record 22m ? I don't think that's good business at all. They're going to blow all their money so fast... And I have no problem with that.

This season will be the 'easiest' it's ever been for a different club to get 4th place. Hence all of the 'possibles' are making signings to go for that 4th place. Arsenal.....well maybe Wenger and the board think that a CL spot is nailed on? It's worth 20 odd million just to qualify for the CL and around 40m to get to the quarters.....surely that's worth speculating a bit for?? No?? Not in Wengerworld.

Levy is an absolutely horrific c*nt but you cant deny his ambition. Luckily the totts seem to still have their genetic predisposition to falling in a bed of unicorn fanny & coming up smelling like dogshit, can only pray that continues. But surely we'd all accept the club trying and failing (in our own objectives) rather than seemingly not even bothering to try. Easy to say who gives a toss what the scum do, but at best it puts our own self-satisfaction at wallowing in stagnation into sharp perspective. At worst... :( Still dont think they'll get Llorente, probably wont be for the want of trying though.

Not actually impressed by the quality of Spurs' squad and I think they'll be really struggling to get top 4 this year.

Saying that, fucking painful to watch us sit on our hands with a squad with glaring weaknesses whilst they at least try and have a go at getting some top players in and improving their squad.

:?: :?: The 'mind the gap' bollocks was tiny totts fans lording it over us when 10 (12?) points clear and thinking they were home and dry.

It was, sadly, our seasons highlight to turn that deficit around and finish above them for the umteenth time in a row.
It isn't our ambition to finish above them, but it is a minimal requirement, along with CL qualification, which will again be difficult to achieve this season if we do not make signings to strengthen in area's where we have struggled for years now (dm, lb, gk 2)

The tiny totts do not have a problem in splashing the cash to try to overtake us, how will they manage to build the stadium while keeping the squad / wages that they must now be incurring.
