Schalke (A) ticket allocation

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

£65 tickets for Marseille probably didn't help

Isit possible with the Perspex glass at the front and the sides of the stand? or isit worth getting the £47.. cheaper the better for us though!

any feedback would be appreciated...

It doesn't normally matter what ticket you get as you can sit anywhere, though I did notice in Montpellier there were directing some fans to the upper and some to the lower tier based on tickets, though once in that section you can stand anywhere there is space.

There is a photo on flickr, Veltins Arena - Away Fan Section, of the away section at the ground without seats, but from that I doubt you can put up a flag at the front as you would block alot of peoples view though the glass as the glass seems to go above head height.

How they got away with that I'll never know.... Fucking benches next to a building site....! But in truth, if you are going away in Europe then ticket price isn't going to put you off.

The fact that UEFA supposedly passed that ground as being a safe "all-seater" was laughable too. It was essentially 80s style terracing minus the crush barriers & I ended up covered in scrapes & bruises after we scored, more so than I would have done had the stand been fitted with the supposed death trap that is safe standing  All good fun though!

What's everyone planning on doing after the game?

We're heading back into Dusseldorf, never been before and heard it's a great night out but i'm a bit worried what with it being a Tuesday that the bars will all be shut at that time!

Looking forward to another German trip, can't get enough of them.

The stadium will be good when complete, but will probably loose some of the atmosphere when they make it properly all seater.

I don't think many people in that stadium used the seats that were given, Arsenal fans and the fans at both ends seemed to stand all game.

I notice that the ticket page has now changed.....

All £21 - "behind the perspex" tickets are now sold out (so that's at least 950 tickets sold before it gets to 15+....an improvement on previous group games) and:

Due to high demand for this fixture we will receive an additional allocation of tickets priced at £39.00 with a further allocation available dependent on ticket sales.

And two additional booking periods have been added:
Priority Booking Period 6 (PB:6)
Tickets for this fixture will go on sale on Wednesday 10th October 2012 @ 2:30pm until Thursday 11th October 2012 @ 9:30am to Platinum, Gold & current Travel Club members with 5+ Away Points.
(All tickets are subject to availability)

Priority Booking Period 7 (PB:7)
Tickets for this fixture will go on sale on Thursday 11th October 2012 @ 10am to any Platinum, Gold & current Travel Club members.
(All tickets are subject to availability)

Feel a little more confident now about being in Priority Booking Period 5........

I'm guessing it'll be something like this. Not sure that they could stop people with restricted view tickets standing in non restricted areas though...

The £39 tickets were the only ones left when I booked this morning. That means we must have sold over 1,800 by the time it got to 10+....

lol... so the £21 priced tickets have to walk through the £39 tickets...
That won't happen! people will just go wherever in the standing area!

Just a thought, I could well be wrong. But I don't see how else it could be set up? Also spotted this on arse.com;
Please note: That match tickets at this price category will NOT state whether it is restricted view or not.
So basically the 21s and 39s are all getting chucked in together...

Hmm, could cause a few arguments this.

Interesting how popular this away day is, can't remember the last group game that saw this demand. Possibly AZ.
