The "I was wrong" thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I thought Legohead was class when he made his first couple appearances for us. Thought "this guy and Cecsc are going to dominate the PL for years!" Turned out Legohead couldn't dominate a gimp that has been sedated, tied down and, indeed, just died.
I was going to add a  emoticon for the first bit, but the last paragraph is quality 8)

I also thought Denilson was quality when he first arrived... sadly, I was very very wrong :(

I also thought Gervinho was shite... again, very wrong - he's now our top scorer, first choice striker and the long term replacement for RvP

He was quality when he arrived.

He went downhill after 18 months.

He was a good prospect when he arrived, had a very good game in the 2007 Carling Cup Final.

He went downhill after about 18 months.

In fairness when we beat Newcastle at home 3-0 in the Beer Cup he really looked the part. I dared to dream that we had the next world class Brazilian midfielder.

Still he was always Red's favourite midfielder !

I thought moving to the new stadium would enable us to compete with the best in the world. I was wrong.

After signing Giroud, Podolski and Cazorla then saying we're weak in defence, I expected Wenger to sign some new players...

I thought Denilson was going to be a 'Top, Top Player for us, instead of the retard *word censored* - slower than a fat ref - twat he turned out to be.

When the spanish waiter first took over from the crazy kraut I thought he would be our new goalie for the next 8 - 10 seasons and become another seaman

I thought Cesc would stay at least another 2 - 3 seasons

I honestly believed rvjudas *word censored* would never sign for the mancscum :cussing: :censored:

I thought McDowell starting a Summer Window Transfer Thread would be of use - Jeeezusss was I WRONG! :D
