Great link to an excellent article. It really is as bad as we all thought and probably even worse!

I would like to say though that for all those people that knocked Pat Rice (he was there on the coaching staff under Howe and Graham so clearly knew how to coach a defence) I know he wanted to coach the defence but was never allowed to and now we know why.

Wenger out ASAP, bring on Pep

No-one should ever knock the legend that is Pat Rice.
He was probably just serving out his time, come the past six years.
No bugger in his right mind would have NOT questioned the overlord that is Wenger.

Best wishes to Pat, just hope that Bouldy tells Wenger where to shove it.

A shock defeat against Reading and our following game is against the mighty Wigan who often get a result against us, two more defeats and I think the worm may just turn......he'll never be sacked but imo there is a possibility that the club would 'ask' him to walk...... I never thought I would hope for defeats but now I do, two or three more on the bounce and we could be rid of him..... :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Or alternatively he will stay and do what he did the one time it looked like we'd seriously miss out on the top 4 at this stage i.e. spend some cash desperately (in that instance the £15m on Arshavin), which will fix the immediate issue of securing the Virtual Trophy. Then he'll get the contract extension he so richly deserves, the £15m signing will think his work is done, and we go back to the start all over again

Exactement Stevo he is not leaving until at least the end of his contract,he makes them money and the yanks love tht,its all about the brand and fleecing the fans, the yanks want you in the stadium buying the drinks the burgers the replica gear they want your money,im surprised they havent got vendors like in the states walking among the aisles ,among the customers getting them to partake in refreshments at a price of course.

Nah there's still some about reading, it's just impossible to debate anything in such an environment with as strong a siege mentality as there is hereabouts.

I gave up precisely on the dream when Cesc met wenger apparently concerning the club moving foward, after the meeting he decided to leave for barca. That was when it was clear to me that Arsene was not going to change even for the beloved fabregas. I too think Cesc would have stayed, but after the meeting itfinally clicked with him that, they'd only want him to sacrifice his own career to pay off our debts. Had he of stayed we'd never have seen arteta, mertesacker etc at this club.

I'll never respect RVP, for crying out he went to utd, but i'll never critcise him for wanting to leave. It was the smart thing to do, even considering he was never around when we needed him, when his teammates needed him.

Remember when Cesc was on Spain he duty, he said we never studied the opposition like this at arsenal. It made you want to cry.

Arsene is a flawed human like everybody else, but we made him about to be a deity.

As for the transfers, sometimes you get flops, but the most recent transfers of Santos and Gervinho are puzzling, they are so far from the standard we usually get, its makes you wonder how Arsene got it so wrong.

For the AKB the war is over

Hard to imagine now that Wenger brought us gems like Vieira and Henry in a past life. Now he buys duds, 10 to 12 million may not be much in the world of football now, but it has to buy better than forehead and (although free) camel.

Wenger has no doubt lost his eye for the transfer market. The further we sink too, the further the cream of talent will run away from us. Like the loss of a faithfull hound we must now put Weng out of his misery and just cast a stick in memory of him from time to time. Let's hope we get a new Pep (sorry, pup) for Christmas :barscarf:

I would be happy to take either or both right now as the status quo is as played out as Status Quo!

What bugs me most of all about our club just now is the way that failure is embraced, never shunned. The way players on good contracts just amble about not knowing the off-side rule. The way players talk a good game in the papers despite a paper thin defence.

Just go now Wenger.

(no insult intended towards the Quo by the way, they were the anthem to my childhood)

"often get a result against us"

We've beaten Wigan every time we've played them apart from twice.

Some of you people should work in the media, you'd be ideal. 8)
