For any remaining AKB...

Post by Rob Admin »

For any Wenger apologists left out there this article should help you to see the light:
Robin van Persie was invited into Arsene Wenger’s magnificently appointed home in north London towards the end of last season for talks about his future.

It was a tense meeting, a full and frank exchange between Arsenal manager and captain after another trophyless season at the Emirates.

With a year left on his contract, the top goalscorer in the Barclays Premier League wanted assurances that the Gunners were ready to invest heavily in the squad before committing himself to a new deal.

Wenger was indignant and the offer to keep Van Persie was never made.

I think van Persie is an absolute scumbag and a *word censored* to boot, but fact is he gave us a chance to keep hold of him and we blew it.

If we do spend serious money in January (highly unlikely and tbh I'd rather not Wenger waste huge sums of Ligue 1 shite) then it'll be 6 months too late.

I said it before, it shows desperate the situation is when an Arsenal man like rvp is driven to sign for United. Perhaps he thought people would wake up and smell the coffee if he did so. I'm sorry but I can't believe he signed for them out of any love or admiration and when he lifts the title I'm sure it will feel like his just shagged his best mate's wife.

All of the stars we've lost are because of one man. We'll soon be able to add Walcott to that list too.

And we drove Cesc out the door earlier than was necessary too - people will quite rightly say that Cesc always planned returning home but I still think that he intended waiting a couple more years until xavi was no longer an automatic choice, but the fact that we were on the slide convinced him that he would only be wasting his career with us had he stayed
I have repeatedly defended rvp on here cos he was 30 years old and wanted to win trophies before his career was over - yes I would prefer he had gone to a different club and yes I can understand the fans who claimed he owed us after years of injuries but the simple fact was that he didn't have time to waste on a club with no real ambition/drive to win trophies

Rob I think you left out a sentence. I've added it in. Hope that's OK.

As a fan of 30 years I'm sick of Arsenal, I'm sick of the same old shit every season, I'm fed up with seeing bargain basement footballers dragging our club down and to be honest supporting Arsenal has now become the same old boring trudge through the same old shit every season.

Now think about that as a player with perhaps 3 or 4 years left at the top? Can we really blame any of them for leaving, from Henry to RvP they all knew the reality of where Arsenal are heading under the dictator.

This and otyher recent stories/revelations from the likes of S. Robson - are beginning to shed light on all the dark shyte that has been going on behind closed doors at The Arsenal, sadly it makes sense now - both wenger and the board and owner have all/each been complicit in misleading us - we who pay their wages, bonuses etc....These are sad and difficult days for us Gooners, but hopefully with the truth now beginning to see the light of day, something at last can be done to ensure the much needed changes to what is now revealed as a "Dictatorship" can finally become a reality.

Even when wenker eventually does go (and nothing lasts forever remember - even dictatorships) there may well be unsteady and difficult days (regardless of whom replaces him ) for the club, team and supporters, BUT at least we will know that Changes are underway, and so we can be patient in the knowledge that something better waits us all just around the corner.... What we also have to do, besides malking our feelings known about the way the club has been run/managed - and how it has deceived us all - Is that a Proper and fitting person takes over managing/coaching the team, furthermore during the times of change, we need to try and offload not only the deadwood from the squad, but those dinosaurs such as P H wood who no longer contribute anything positive or beneficial to the club.

And when I die
I'll Be Arsenal Dead!

At least Wenger will leave us in a sound financial state, and of that we should be eternally grateful. Whoever takes over will have a club in fine shape albeit with some absolute shit footballers who should be driven to whichever Div 1 side is willing to take them off our hands on a free.

I knew Wenger and Bouldy didn't sppekar to be on speaking terms, didn't realise this extended to mos tof the big people on the coaching staff. Our club really is a sorry state of affairs...

Stewart Robson is right, Wenger is a bloody dictator, but unlike most he could easily be deposed if the board were to just come down form their pile of money and fire him. :banghead:

I'm sure Giggs will be able to help him through that troubling time.
