26-------12-------2012 Wham postponed

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

either way world's ending on the 21st so why are we talking about this game? when humanity is killed off Arsenal will be in 7th place in the table. this makes me :(
And unless we beat Reading and Wigan whilst Spurs lose, we'll greet 'the end of the world' below them in the table!! :worried: What a way to go. I hope Wenger feels proud of himself!! :banghead: :banghead:     '

Now that we have been knocked out by Bradford the club are pushing for the game to be postponed and move it to January 0n 1 of the 2 midweek dates that the semi final would have been played.

if the ballot goes the wrong way on monday they are less bothered about pulling out all the stops for the game to go ahead so will try and hide behind the police and health and safety issues rather than fight desperately to go ahead.

Wenger has approved as we will have a long week off from the early sat ko v Wigan to the late sat ko v Newcastle and its a sell out anyway so little impact on the club

No, we hardly ever have strikes any more. 26th is regarded as a holiday over here and these guys want a ridiculous amount of money to work on the holiday. Be warned London will be pretty much shut down on 25th.

i know! a cab ride from the airport is going to cost a small fortune since the tubes are shut .... would have flown in earlier or later if i'd have known. committed now though 8)

You might be better to stay at an airport hotel and travel in 26th.

Not yet mate. But if the tube drivers are being balloted they'll inevitably choose to strike and the club will be forced to move the game. Probably to the 27th even though we play the Barcodes on the 29th.
The 27th is a working day though this year, I really hope they don't play then as I wont be able to go and doubt the club would want to play that day.

If there is a strike the club will ever move the game to the new year or just play that day in a very empty stadium.

How do you know? Can't see that news anywhere. I'm trying to plan visiting family etc and this is key before I confirm dates!!

Cheers Mate. Just wait for the AFC website to confirm fixture change then I'll be sorted.

Just emailed the box office and they responded within the hour saying that they hope to have some news by tomorrow regarding this fixture being re-arranged.

a) There's (supposedly) 60,000 trying to get to the Emirates, as opposed to 18,000 trying to get to Loftus Road.

b) There's thousands of car parking spaces within a mile of Loftus Road, whereas there's about a dozen around the Emirates.
