26-------12-------2012 Wham postponed

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

26-------12-------2012 Wham postponed

Post by Top Londoner »

26th December. Boxing Day. A traditional day for football fixtures. This year we face West Ham @ home.
How about you ticket holders showing your displeasure at the current regime, and boycott the game?
It might mean watching the mother-in-law munching on pickles and cold meats instead of seeing the wanker prof kicking to death some Evian bottles, but it will certainly send a message to the club.
Albeit, they (the club) will counter it with travel problems due to a heavy frost!!!
So, give up your Boxing Day escape in support of giving the club the bird. What say ye?

Fuck that have them mockney twats taking liberties on the manor singing east east east london when they all come from romford ,grays, barking, dagenham and upminster !

Fucking hate them .........fact Arsenal and Millwall are the only Clubs which boast real Cockneys since Both Islington and Southwark are closer to St Mary Le Bow Church than uptonstan !

2 LONDON clubs, a half decent o'ground service, buses gallour and a bank holiday to boot so less road traffic so even the mockney spammites can drive from their sharon 'n' kev piles in Chelmsford yet we are postponing the game WTF.

That will be the 2nd game in 3 year., TV's shite and the only thing worth doing on Boxing day was watching the Arse in pub/ground/ wherever. Now they want to take that away from us. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

As far as the protest of not turning up is concerned, best post this message on foreign sites. The amount of foreign voices you hear on the train and around the ground match days, I'd say being a holiday it'll be ole, allez,Forza being chanted if it goes ahead.

Atmosphere at the bowl V QPR on New Years Day last year was super-shit, despite the fact we won 2-1 from a Van Persie goal. Made me NEVER want to go back there again, and I haven't since.

Not yet mate. But if the tube drivers are being balloted they'll inevitably choose to strike and the club will be forced to move the game. Probably to the 27th even though we play the Barcodes on the 29th.

didnt arsenal play despite a tube strike a couple of years ago?

either way world's ending on the 21st so why are we talking about this game? when humanity is killed off Arsenal will be in 7th place in the table. this makes me :(

I think you'll find, if you read the thread in the basement about this, that the world is only ending for gobshites on the 21st.

:D

as much as i think striking is dumb, pointless, and rarely effects work bosses as much as everyday people, i'd be super pissed off at the club over the drivers if they do cancel. having a month and a half notice of this potential event they should have been making alternate plans. but then again, do they really care about the fans or the fan experience?

either way game or no i'm still up for getting blitzed on blackstock rd. and if the board or twitter turn up two extras we'll make the southampton game anyway so 2/3 aint bad
