Surely Maicon, Garcia & Rodwell should be 3 of the worst. I also agree with Poldi being listed, he's been fucking woeful yet gets a very easy ride. Giroud has been the better of the 2 yet gets all the stick.

Don't agree with that. I know there are similar debates on other threads but Giroud has played nearly every game as a striker in the league, albeit in a doomed system. Podolski didn't start a league game throughout February, March and nearly all of April, which was hardly merited as he was hardly awful and nobody else has been fantastic enough to warrant a sure-fire starting berth. Podolski's goalscoring rate in the league is slightly better and he's made about half of Giroud's goals! Yes he's been fucking diabolical last two games but I don't think him playing in a fairly unfamiliar role being in and out of the team warrants the same opportunity as Giroud has had.

Podolski didn't start games for the exact same reason as the quality of his performances, shit. Giroud isn't great far from it but we knew that. To think I was excited when we signed him but all I see is a German Nicklas Bendtner.

I don't care how many good runs he makes, he's played 26 times in the league for one of the best creative teams in the country. Some games they just batter the oppositions penalty area till they score.

Hernandez,Kagawa and Rooney have played either less or similar amounts, yet they've all scored more than he has.

To put it in perspective he has scored less goals this season in the league than Macheda a couple of seasons ago when he got the winner in the dying seconds against Villa.

Our BFG has scored more goals in the league this season than Welbeck.

Oops just read the first page of this thread....I would say Greedy is flop of the season but that was a bullet the scum should have dodged as everyone knows greedy becomes lazy once you give him a nice fat contract.

His form has certainly dropped off somewhat but I don't think that it was anywhere near bad enough to merit sitting on the bench for three months straight. Particularly not whilst Giroud and Walcott have retained their places every week despite being generally terrible in the second half of the season and certainly not in order to shift our best creative player out to the wing to accommodate perennial underperformer Ramsey or part-time lightweight Rosicky.

I strongly maintain had Podolski played 30+ PL games up top, even on his own, we'd have seen far more than we have from Giroud.

podolski has not been great but how can he be one place from Marko Marin??? I don't rate podolski that highly but he isn't a flop nor is giroud, they are just players who reflect the changing ambitions of our football club.

As for Marko Marin, it was a strange purchase for Chelsea because he looked rubbish for werder, ok sometimes he looked decent, like a poor man's modric, or even a sick messi joke. But he has been genuinely awful for them, and to think people wanted him to sign for us.

Rodwell is a stain on mancini's golden chequebook. I don't think they paid much for Sinclair but the joke is on him.

How about Harry Redknapp? Brought in with big expectations, should easily have kept them up with the players they had and the money he was able to spend in January. Instead they never really looked like staying up and were realistically gone before April.

Never ceases to amuse me the shit he comes up with mind. Talking about tougher discipline next season at QPR, he said "Maybe we had to pussy-foot around players when I came in because of the situation this season". Thank God, for a minute I thought it might actually be his fault that he failed to motivate and properly manage his squad!

Also dampening expectations by saying they're more likely to get relegated next season than come back up so that when they do the bare minimum expected and scrape into the play-offs he can be hailed as a hero again.
