Re: Fabianski - Leaving
Yep, I'd say probs 40K too tbh - I used 20K as a conservative estimate to highlight just how appalling a waste of money he has been even at that price. At 40K we have paid him at least £14million for 7 years of ineptitude and failure at his job. There is no way to gild that fucking particular lillie. He is/was crap - there were/are Conference keepers waaaaaaay better than him.
And that £14million excludes possible signing on fee and/or possible appearance/win bonuses.
Seriously, say that figure out loud; £14million...
Look - I'm all for taking a chance on young players - that is how the Vieira's of this world get discovered. What really aggrevates me though is the persisting with them for years after they have been revealed to every man and his dog as not being good enough, and all because Arsene cannot admit he got it wrong. This - and the sickening levels of financial mismanagement that Arsene has gotten away with, whilst pleading that "we don't have the money to compete with the chav and citeh" etc etc whilst also, let's not forget, collecting £7million a year for himself - really sickens me.
I've said it for years, the money has always been there - it's just been very badly mispent to prop up Arsene's ego and his myopic project.

Re: Fabianski - Leaving
So if I remain a season ticket holder for approx 35 years, it will cover one weeks wages for this clown

Re: Fabianski - Leaving
Of course. But that's not the point really, is it? The point is we still paid out £14million on wages for a player that wasn't near good enough. And he still received whatever ammount he is legally entitled to after tax. Without having earned it. We are talking gross income here, not net.wibble wrote:Tbf though that 14million will have been taxed...
Re: Fabianski - Leaving
Don't worry, I was saying that in jest- I wholeheartedly agree that we've wasted a lot of money on his (and others) wages

Wow, when you put it like that it makes you realise what a bargain our season tickets are!Peeman wrote:So if I remain a season ticket holder for approx 35 years, it will cover one weeks wages for this clown
