Shocking suggestion.......it is to all intense purposes, supporting the "make do" policies that have crippled our club in recent season

Lets hope that we win the cup final and then le cock and flaps ride off into the sunset as heroes instead of the more accurate assessment which would label both as liabilities

He does have a reason to expect more first team action now, and I hope the club offer him a new contract. Chesney needs someone to keep him on his toes.
 Yeah and whilst we're at it lets give Wenker one too and since it's the season of goodwill in nutflush' house lets cap it off with a pay rise for Sanogo.

Who would you put in goal for the cup Fabianski or Szcezney? I'd rest Szecezney for rest of season and give fabianski a run of games. We'll get 4th, yesterday's win would be a massive boost for the players after a dreadful run of games. After the last trip to wembley vs birmingham not sure i would trust szcezney to be haunted by the ghosts of that moment.

Your a funny guy. Have you actually been watching flappy over the season or so, or are you like augie soo blinkered that you rate podolski.

Is this thread for real?
Improvement granted and very happy for him yesterday, but an Arsenal goalkeeper? Er no, but thanks for popping in....

What are you judging him on 6 games and a couple of penalty saves. How many games has he cost us over the years? We need a top quality back up
You don't get top quality to be your GK back up.

A Fabianski is as good as it gets.

He has conceded one goal in open play during the cup run.

Chesney is a much bigger liability. He is not a big game player.
Think of all the big losses in recent years - this clown has been in goal for all of them.
That's a ridiculous point, he's played nearly every game for the last few years so no wonder he's played most of our big losses

Why are people forgetting how shit Fabianski has consistently been? He still doesn't command his area, he is still utterly useless under a high ball, his decision-making is a worry.

Despite not quite having any calamities so far this campaign his weaknesses are still painfully obvious - think coming and flapping leaving Agger with an open goal at 2-1, think coming out of his box yesterday and getting nowhere near the ball. It seems so short-sighted to me to think that this wouldn't get exposed if he played every week or to think he'd have made fewer mistakes than Szczesny has this season or saved as many points.

And 1989 I agree with you in the sense that you can't expect to have a quality keeper content to sit on the bench every week. But what you can have is a decent, reliable keeper. And that Fabianski is not.

46 goals in 112 games for one of the best international sides in the fucking world suggests he can play a bit  flappy despite a good run of games has probably run almunia close for single handedly costing us more games than any player in our history so excuse me nuttyboy for wanting him to fuck off back to poland rather than sign a new fucking contract

Really? Scez has been outstanding this season and has one us more points than any respective plge keeper, if he has looked suspect recently it is hardly surprising given the fucking pantomime played out in front of him recently.
I wouldnt swap scez for any other keeper in the lge

Some people get their opinions clouded by a single game

Flappy is shit he saved a couple of ordinary pens yesterday but even in yesterdays game at one point he came flying out for no reason but this time got away with it......... Chesney needs competition (personally i think he needs replacing) youre right but he needs it from a very good keeper not a bang average one

A new contract ...........you must be kidding.

Fair play he has been much improved this season, but you must have a very short memory.

At one point just seeing him line up in the tunnel made me feel sick.

The Chesney love in on here is unbelievable.
I will continue to say he is a walking disaster and should be nowhere near the first team right now.

So you wouldnt play Koscielny either then?
