Give flappy a new contract (DB10 jerking thread)
Much improved over the last 18 months, and in this FA cup run has been one of our shining lights.
He does have a reason to expect more first team action now, and I hope the club offer him a new contract. Chesney needs someone to keep him on his toes.

God no!! He's proven for years that he is a liability (including his charge out of goal yesterday)!!
We need a top quality keeper, not Wonga 'super quality'!!

Yep there's clearly something about Wembley that makes him have a headless chicken moment.TeeCee wrote:God no!! He's proven for years that he is a liability (including his charge out of goal yesterday)!!

No.
Get Casillas
Or Ter Stegen, now that Barca can't.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
Pretend he's not a disaster under the high ball because he saved two poor penalties (and got nowhere near the very save-able one in 90 minutes despite going the right way)? He pulled off some good saves against Liverpool but other than that has not really been tested in this FA Cup run.
It is absolutely crystal clear that the defenders have no faith in him and his communication and command of the area is diabolical. His decision-making regarding coming for through balls is dreadful and it doesn't help that his starting position seems to be too deep. He is all at sea under crosses - he should have cost us the win against Liverpool getting nowhere near a free-kick that Agger headed wide of an empty net and that mishit cross in the first half that went very narrowly over the bar he was nowhere near.
We've spent years and years waiting for him to go now, just cut the cord. I don't care that he saved two penalties, if ever there was one selection decision to sum up the second half of Wenger's reign it is Fabianski playing in the FA Cup semi.

Re: Give flappy a new contract
The guy is the worst Arsenal player in modern day history. No exageration. This boy (boy I mean man he's like 28 believe it or not) has cost us more trophies and pts than any other.
Hopefully we can get a good number 2 to back up Schez.

What are you judging him on 6 games and a couple of penalty saves. How many games has he cost us over the years? We need a top quality back up

We need a GK who's going to seriously challenge for the No1 jersey, 2 strong goalies fighting for the position like most other top clubs have.donaldo wrote:?We need a top quality back up

Goalkeepers are one of Wenger's main failures during his management at Arsenal

Bloke is a proven liability with a handy knack of saving the odd penalty.
There's no point offering him a new deal as he's already agreed to move clubs. This is a good thing as he has been fucking dreadful for most of his time here.

Re: Give flappy a new contract
I can't believe the stick that Fabianski is getting on here.
He has conceded one goal in open play during the cup run.
Chesney is a much bigger liability. He is not a big game player.
Think of all the big losses in recent years - this clown has been in goal for all of them.

The guy has cost us more goals than any other 'keeper I can care to remember.
