Financial Fair Play(FFP)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

There was that joint letter of complaint in January 2013, it shows that these things are discussed[/color].

It is also not impossible that their would be grumblings against UEFA and FIFA, and these and other similar overseas clubs discuss how they might threaten to breakaway to try and force Financial Fair Play action.

A decision that would rank up alongside suing a hat shop lady in spain in our most embarrassing decisions file

FFP  :coffeespit:

Will be adhered to as strictly as the Kyoto Protocols.

If there's anyone out there who actually believed this would be the great leveller then I would like to meet them so I can sell them some premium snake oil and elbow grease.

Brent Crude for June closed at $110.36 last night West Texas is a few dollars below that @ Around $102 but Brents whats used for Middle East Producers .
100,000 euros is $138,000 Usd so that is 1,250.45 bbls of oil to pay the fine .
Qatar produces 1.6 million bbls of crude a day so the fine is a little over one mins production up the flarestack !
Other useless facts available from Herd research and marketing ,mens toilets Hong Lim Square Singapore !

Next week on Herd talk we will be asking the question ,Ukraine or Russia who gives a shit ?

I've said all along that serious questions should be and should have been raised about the board and manager who have constantly droned on about this and committed themselves to a policy based on something that even they claimed they didn't know much about. It has been clear for the whole world to see for years that FFP is just a weak threat. It's not going to change anything and only the absolute blind, daft or Arsenal management would have thought it would actually do anything. I've thought for a while that this was just a smokescreen and convenient excuse for Wanker to penny pinch or something to blame his transfer failures on.

Absolutely spot on mate. It's excuses excuses excuses at Arsenal and the man in charge of everything (Wonga) is the main guy behind the lies and deceit.
Get ready for all sorts of claims from the club about who we 'may' sign. ST's need to be sold on the back of outrageous lies again.

I see our old mate Usmanov has bought 8 more Arsenal shares, taking him from 18679 (30.022%) to 18687 (30.035%).

like the transfer ban on Barca this thing is not or never was going to work because the ones that it is meant to control are too powerful to be controlled. That is football in the 21st century...the only way to beat it is to join it. Ivan and Stan along with Arsene can sit patiently and wait and wait for proposed rules to rescue their dream but it's not going to happen in practice, theory and rhetoric is different.

Apparently Platini was mistranslated and that he actually said he thought no club would be kicked, however, he doesnt have any decision on the matter. May still be hope but I doubt it. I reckon Platini knows something.

ahahahaha Paltini and Blatter are joined at the arse ,two totally corrupt institutions .

I lost all respect for platini in 1985 when after the deaths at Heysel ,the powers that be instead of abandoning the game as ANY humanist organisation would have done ,they played the game.

It was agreed that Juve would win (ask daglish ) and they did through a giveaway penalty that platini converted and ran round like a mad hyena ,liverpool and juve played the game out to a nothing after that !

sickened it to my stomach ,it still sickens me !

The next people to play Liverpool was Arsenal at Anfield 1st game of the season ...........all those who were there remember the displaying of Juve bannersas trophys ,the disgusting songs , and the total disregard of the 2 faith service they had at anfailed that day haunts me !

I too hope that the policing and sanctions will gradually toughen up, but I read a report in a Spanish paper (AS I think) which said that PSG were in the process of back-dating a sponsorship deal (at a commercial market rate of course!).

The sqillionaires' lawyers will always keep them one step ahead.
