Met Police want to change the time of derbies.

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Actually there were - some 3,000 urine soaked smelly vagrants - whom it would seem had escaped the clutches of their carers - turned up at the Emirates wearing white shirts with pictures of their Cock on the front chanting some shyte name...Arsenal later had to disinfect the whole area of the stadium.

For a derby Saturday evening produces the best atmosphere and given there are two major satellite channels vying for prime slots, the police probably wont have as much influence as they did in the past. If there is already a lunch time ko, I can imagine one of the broadcasters having a hissy fit over competing with the NLD.
It would be more of a problem if BT had the 5.30 Saturday slot, because you would effectively be telling them they can't pick up the game. As it is if they have the rights it will be for 12.45 Saturday (presuming same as last year), Sky could choose either 2pm or 4pm Sunday or Monday night.
Can't be on them times if we are playing on a Tuesday in the CL

That's an annual occurrence though a bit like Glastonbury.

The Met police can get fu*ked - If I had my way all derbies would be played in the evening.

There's nothing like the atmosphere of late kick offs: you've been looking forward to it all day, the buildup and hypes grows with each hour, and if it's autumn/winter time, it will be dark by kick off - you can't beat playing in the black of night, it just lends so much to the drama.

When Cardiff played Swansea for the first time in years (about 2009 I think) the Football League moved the kick-offs to 11.30am. Although this was scuppered a bit as they then drew each other in the Beer Cup so obviously was a night game.
