As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Think its been said elsewhere on here, but I was tremendously proud to see 5 of our lads heading up England v San Marino at the start of the second half .
The highest number since Herbert Chapman days
Not saying anything about the quality of the teams of course

I had a feeling that Ireland might actually get something in Germany but after their loss yesterday I now doubt it very much. How bad were Gibraltar yesterday ? Their first keeper had a death wish , everything he could do wrong he did. The second guy looked better or not as bad. I know football is a global game and all that but what is the point of this game ? Maybe UEFA should introduce two or even three competitions in a division tiered system. Less games and more meaningful ones instead.
Like most on here all I wish for these weeks is our players to return injury free.
Its just absolutely ridiculous. England first played San Marino more than 20 years ago now when they were first admitted and the claim back then was that they would improve by playing against the major European nations. Well 20 years plus later they are joint bottom of the world rankings, haven't scored an away goal since 2003, had 13 put past them by Germany and still only have 1 professional player in the team. Does any think Gibraltar are going to fare any better than that ? A population of less than 30k without a proper home ground going round Europe getting drubbed every week. Not quite sure what these countries are learning? The fact is that they have too small a pool to pick from and nothing (other than a baby boom like never before !) can change that
The population of Gibraltar is around the same as Windsor & Eton - lets see what would happen if we picked a team entirely of players from there what would happen if we pitched them against the German national team. Just madness but UEFA just add to the problem.
How long before the Isle of Man are participating ?
Clearly running scared of Rodgers leaving out Sterling.
National managers have a duty to prevent burnout of young players - by not playing them for 90 minutes in pointless friendlies, not picking them when they're injured/recovering and not asking them to play for the U21s. Sterling played for a half against San Marino, to leave him out of a competitive game because of fears of long-term burn-out doesn't add up to me. If he happened to be knackered for this game then fine but reading all of Hodgson's quotes in the paper today it seems like he is bending to Rodgers.

Worst thing about the interlull is the way it brings out the xenophobic, jingoistic, nationalistic retards.
Robbie Keane will always be one thing to me; A tottingham cúnt. That is all.
Bit unfair there DB10 he was also a Liverpool C.unt ...
18,500 at the Aviva Saturday...if Oireland qualify there will be 400,000 that were at every game !!! Is that a bandwagon coming down the tracks ?
Find this two weeks tedious and worrying about injuries, but maybe the players are safer away from Arsenal these days.

I didn't think he lived until 1988!
V Saudi Arabia ? I see, Seaman, Thomas, Rocastle started, Marwood & Smith on as subs, but Marwood came on for Thomas, so still only 4 on at the same time. Was there another match in 88 with 5 on at some point? The Euros in 88 only had 2 in the squad, Seaman and Adams.
There are some names playing for Engerland in 88 I had completely forgotten, including Ian Hendon Paul Mitchel Aiden Newhouse Daryl Sutch and Steve Bull (Bull only forgotten that he played for England )

Superb!
Yep, can't wait to hear all our Oirish "sports" fans jumping onto that particular bandwagon!
Only had to suffer 60 seconds of Simon Church David Cotterill brought on though Thought the pikey might have been implicated in some recent 'modern slavery' cases but no such luck, still masquerading as a professional footballer. No wonder they're talking about picking Ched Evans again, might as well see if he's got any convict mates who qualify.
The 4-5-Bale formation is the sort you find in U12 school games but international football? Worrying thing is Wales could quite conceivably qualify for the Euros. As if international football wasn't held in low enough regard already...

As I was saying great to see David Cotterill back in a Wales shirt
