Train problems January/February

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

A trains thread? :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Thumbs up to First Great Western - thanks to the wonder of supply and demand it is very cheap to get across to London after work on a Friday for a smash-up on a weekend with a carriage to yourself and a pack of beer.

Also thumbs down to First Great Western - bastard trains takes a bastard extra hour back on bastard Sundays with a bastard hangover after a bastard bender.

Thumbs up to Arriva Trains Wales - cracking entertainment as commuters mix with hopeless drunks.... on the 8.20.

Thumbs down to Arriva Trains Wales - rubbish trains. Actually really really rubbish trains.

Maybe if you didn't drink so much you wouldn't find yourself ending up with the gays. You'll probably find you won't wake up the next morning with your arse torn out of you quite so often either.

:-P

As you wish.   :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
Overhead wire problems between Rugby and Wolverton are causing major disruption to services between Rugby and London Euston. This is expected to continue until the end of service today.
Trains are now able to run at a reduced speed between Rugby and ****** Keynes Central, but journeys between Rugby and London Euston may still be delayed by up to 2 hours.
Buses are running between Rugby and Kettering ( to connect with East Midlands Trains services).

The bloke with the irritating as fuck voice on the PA system announced it during the game - raised a big cheer and much mocking of our dear friends from the cesspit.

If I was them I'd be fucking delighted I couldn't home to the land of boarded up pubs, £20000 houses and the home of the six fingered glove

Couldn't help but laugh at this, spent two years of my life getting the same Thameslink train to work every day and it never arrived on time once - either at my station or in London

Maybe the fact they've decided London Bridge station no longer exists on their network has helped their timekeeping?
(Yes, I know it wasn't them...)

There dont appear to be any engineering works on the London to Brighton line this weekend so all should be well.

Just as long as people have registered that the service to/from London Bridge has changed radically. Also most people who use SW trains and change at Clapham should be aware of the massive disruption on them.

Major works at Victoria this Sunday mean half the platforms are closed and there is a new queuing system in place. Start your journey from elsewhere if you can.
