Games weekend 31/01-01/02

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

the 4 of Falcao, RvP, Rooney and Di Maria really are a good front, but United are fucking awful at the back.

After last weekend's endless laughs unfortunately every result has been shite so far today.

WARNING: Media wankathon over Sturridge about to start - make sure you stand a safe distance away

Liverpool and the spuds form is starting to look ominous for our VT hopes.

Rodgers seems to have sorted their defence out, with sturridge back they might just pip us or united to 4th.

For me Sagna is far too narrow there. And even then if he doesn't turn like an oil tanker he can cut the angle off for Hazards pass across.

Hazard is a tremendous player mind. Looks a simple pass but one touch from a 30 yard aerial pass and he's laid it inch perfect on a plate.

Rest of the game will be sure to watch mind

Don't worry unduly over that mate - I've heard that the virtual engravers have already put the first "A..." on the Virtual Trophy. Just pretenders to the throne

Don't get me wrong Matic has been a big player and a great (re-)signing for Chelsea but he seems completely immune from criticism.

Not a huge error but he needlessly gave the ball away by the touch line for the goal and was then slow getting across to cover at left back and put no pressure on Navas. Similarly he didn't get near Coutinho for the first hour on Tuesday but I dont recall him copping any flack for it.
