Sherwood Sacked

Agent Sherwoods Job was finished at Villa.
After carefully crafting Villa's capitulation in the Cup Final there was little more he could do for us right now ,he deserves a rest.
Don't worry he will be of use to us again in the future !

Villa are at best an average team and are very much on a downward spiral. They too are suffering from an absent American owner who is only interested in profits, but their owner is desperately trying to get out and with no new owner on the horizon it paints a picture of a club that no-one wants to believe in

On a personal level I am delighted to see them struggling - there is an arrogance amongst some fans of big clubs (us included) who think that will always be a top club regardless of the lack of effort they put in.

I know that I have said it before, but I can never understand how everton were never bought by all those mega rich foreigners taking over English clubs - a genuine big club who has a real platform that they could build on if they had the funds to bring in quality players
Bit harsh on their fans, we have had a few scraps with them in the 80s (when they won the league) and 90s when we got knocked out of the league cup in the semi, but overall their fans are nowhere near as bad as the likes of stoke. Have you had recent first hand contact with them?

We had a beer at the globe with them before the cup final, all good fun and no animosity towards each other. When they realised we would outnumber them, they gracefully made their way to Wembley.

Tim Sherwood is a weird one. A self proclaimed gooner who we have never treated as one of our own. Perhaps a stint away from football will mellow our animosity towards him, even if the songs where fun.

I personally don't have particular animosity towards Villa fans but it is just endless whinging with them.

Not sure what their fans view on the sacking is but they have to accept that whilst they don't want the club to be in this state, this is where they are and this is what the manager has to work with - Gotta judge him accordingly. No point in crying because a manager isn't getting a relegation battle squad into top half or Europe contention.

Funny that. Where have I seen this described behaviour a bit closer to home !

Agent Timmy will now write his autobiography. It will be entitled "Me against the world - a football hero's lone battle against all the haters". And it will be riveting. Fucking riveting.

Villa have been on a hiding to nothing since Martin O'Neill quit. Their Yank owner has lost interest and now the club are trying to survive on ever diminishing returns, buying kids and lower league players. Sounds like our Silent Syrup's wet dream, TBH.

They fucked up Paul Lambert's career. After two back-to-back promotions with Norwich, he ended up playing tedious, dour football at Villa. Now Sherwood's on the management scrapheap. Beneteke is a poor man's Adebayor anyway.

Then again, Sherwood deserves all the stick for this:

There's a touch of the Brentan Rodgers about him too. I hate how he refers to the first/second half as the first/second 'period', keep that management-speak shite out of football please.

It is sad to see the lack of British managers in the top flight, but Sherwood is hardly the poster-boy for them.

I'm really hoping that Villa have a really good game tonight to celebrate their new manager. :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:
