You need to get it into your head that we don't give a flying fuck how much the red nosed crunt and the portugese poser has won. What we are discussing here is that our very successful boss appears to be trying to prove a point to the world that you don't need to spend big etc. to win things. Now given that his spending is not a tenth of what the other two have spent then I would have to say that he has proven a point quite well already. Yes, to date he has failed to win the champions league, but then so have many other great managers, and no, we haven't won anything for a couple of re-building years but then fergusoan never won fuck all for quite a few years either did he!
Why don't you get over yourself and obsession with with shouting about how big your willy is or fuck off to a site where the members give a toss.
well its all relative..united are the bigeest club , with the most fans and the higehst revenue/profits..so it obviuos we are going to spend bit....butSPUDMASHER wrote:So why does he feel the need to spend so much now? Is it that he is not in Scotland where, lets face it, both our reserve teams would probably win the league, or is it that he is not good enough to do it in a big league without spending fotunes, unlike Wenger. Wenger incidentally also beat Real Madrid but it was in the Champions League and on their own ground. A feat I believe you will find that no other English club has ever achieved.
biggest profits? are you sure.Pancho wrote:well its all relative..united are the bigeest club , with the most fans and the higehst revenue/profits..so it obviuos we are going to spend bit....butSPUDMASHER wrote:So why does he feel the need to spend so much now? for every rio (26m) we have a vidic ( 5m)
for every rooney ( 27m) we have a scholes ( zero)
for every carrick (18m) we have a giggs( zero)
not to mention the money made on beckahm, butt, neville, richardson, timms, spector, rossi, obi, campbell, chadwick, brandy ..all how cost nothing but brought in over £70m ..which more than pid for hargreaves/nani/anderson and tevez.

how much debt you in though? thats right a fucking lot? 15 years profit to pay it off.
turnover is almost insignificant!!! all that matter is profit, ask any half educated businessman. you could turnover £1bn but if your operating costs are £1bn then what does it matter.Pancho wrote:Gunner152 wrote:biggest profits? are you sure.Pancho wrote:well its all relative..united are the bigeest club , with the most fans and the higehst revenue/profits..so it obviuos we are going to spend bit....butSPUDMASHER wrote:So why does he feel the need to spend so much now? htere is no doubt united have a large debt..but our "gearing " what ever that means ( i dont profess to be a finance expert... and neither are you )..is a only 4 times the turnover of the club ..whilst arsenal is neraly 8 times ... and united turnover/wages ratio is less than 47% one of the lowset in the league.
