Agree with all that, but I would add the players are all together. It was noticeable that in the post match interview after Hull, he kept saying it's not about the individual glory but a team effort, whilst glaring at Giroud as he talked about himself. I would say there is a little bit more to Theo behind the scenes, then the nice boy image he portrays in the media. At hull you could see Theo getting frustrated with himself whereas I can't ever recall seeing Giroud get frustrated at not scoring for 11 games.

Have to say this sounds like bollocks, as others have said. We just don't have that natural leader in our team, which is ironic as rosicky is captain of czech repuublic, ramsey once of wales. fucking hell even arshavin was once the russia captain....

fucking hell, i would walk on hot coals for an old school tony adams or frank mclintock. someone that would never accept second best, and who would never be afraid to bollock the rest of the team. unfortunately, that has been bred out of us, possibly by wenger, but i don't know why. was gallas the final straw with wenger, did he throw that fit at st andrews and do something else that wenger didn't like?

i dont get it, you need a fucking captain to win a league title :(

It's clearly bollocks - but let's give Wankpot the benefit of the doubt and wait until Tuesday night at the Nou Camp to judge whether this amazing newfound team-bonding has had a serious impact. Or let's see if it's a Tony Adams at Ewood park moment, and we go on a storming league run that shows that spirit. Tbf I could imagine how loud that meeting must have been...can just see the Ox dancing like a tosser in a corner of the room...as Calum Chambers tweets something in between watching Ramsey gel his hair...Coquelin pointlessly flying into a plastic chair with two feet...Giroud trying to eat a sandwich but as ever, can't finish his dinner...Theo giving a loudmouth interview to the bathroom mirror...and of course Captain Fuckwit will have been pointing and shouting, unaware that everybody had already left the room
All those leaders like Mertesacker who said after Swansea "it isn't the worst thing in the world" etc....
Let's avoid cynicism that this meeting was only "leaked" after thrashing the mighty Hull.

Imagine during the Fergie years if united players had gone public about a team meeting not involving the manager or coaching staff.. It wouldn't have happened because there at that time the manager managed the club.. I think the "meeting " is a big spin to try prove that Arsenal are something that they are not..

Frank McLintock punched George Graham once for not trying hard enough.

Does anyone remember the punch up Lee Dixon and Tony Adams had at Shrewsbury not long after TA was released from Chokey .
Dixon wasn't happy with TA but having had a set too they got on with the game and walked off together as brothers again !

That's what I call team spirit !

It does mean its more questions, added to the ever growing list, I would pose to Wenger given the chance.
Do these secret players meetings undermine your authority in the dressing room?
Are they warned not to confront each other over tactics or form in your presence? If not why is it always done in private?

Press reporting on this story as if it shows how strong our team is, but really, all it does is highlight how bad Wenger is at doing his job - and that they'd even need to do this in first place.

Did Ferguson's teams ever secretly collude behind his back to help them win league titles?

I've even heard stories about the Invincibles going into business for themselves at times (the 2003 cup final, for instance), so it makes you wonder how influential Wenger actually was during those winning years.

It's something i've wondered for a while now, how much real direction did AW give back then and how much was generated by the team itself once the games started.

I know a few former players have come out and said things along the lines of he pretty much let them get on with things on the pitch. If that was the case it'd explain how a group of players no matter how skilled like we have now but which has no natural leaders can struggle so badly when things don't go to plan and they have to change things.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room pre-match just to hear his team talks and see what happens in them :rubchin:

In that Invincibles documentary a couple of years back it was said that Lehmann (I think) and Keown gave two crucial half-time team talks that turned the game.

TOF prefers silence in the dressing room :banghead:

So,imagine you are able to give the team talk......what would you say ?

Mine would go something like this.......hit it

Defence

- need to communicate much, much more -Kos, . I want you to organise them, keep the line,no stepping up unless Kos says so.
Both fullback are forbidden to be up around the opponents box at the same time. 1 only.
BFG you need to man up, use your height, dominate in the air.
Kos instruct the cm where to go, track the runners, spot the danger early and negate it.

Midfield

Need to work so much harder when we don't have the ball, win the tackles, complete for the 2nd balls, too often you are watching not getting involved in stopping the opposition.
All need to be aware of their responsibility to stay with runners, not just watch them go.
Ramsey cut out the fancy flicks - you give the ball away far too often and waste possession.
If you lose the ball, work like fuck to win it back, we give up far too easily.

Forwards

Alexis, keep it simple, give and go, release the ball and make the run, we have the players with the vision to pick you out. You cannot dribble past 2/3 players every time-we lose the ball in good area's.

Giroud - your head drops too easily, cut out feeling sorry for yourself if you miss a chance, work harder to score the next one, pressure the defence make them make mistakes, too often you give them an easy ride. Stay Central, you are no good to us out wide, we need you as the target.

We need to.shoot more, we have players who can score from.distance, but follow up, pounce on rebounds, deflections, anticipate.

Wideplayers- get the ball whipped in with pace, force errors from defenders under pressure .

STOP.THE TIP TAP SHIT - play with urgency, tempo go at their defence with conviction - you are an Arsenal man, play like one.
