The Arsenal players secret society
Once again we have the story leaked (by Theo) that the players got together for a pre Spurs away clandestine meeting, without Wenger or any training staff in attendance.
Firstly I cant understand why, whatever subject is on topic, it cant be voiced in the presence of Clueless, or any of his yes men.
Where do they go? The Tollington? there cant be many secretive rooms at the Emirates.
Also I would love to know what exactly they discuss and the tone of it, I cant imagine Theo digging anyone out, not with his Tim Henman, boy next door demeanour, like being savaged by a sheep.
Or does Theo bare the brunt of it, more likely someone like Flamini would strongly advise him to cut out dribbling the ball from just outside his penalty area. Or informing Ramsey he is not the Welsh Messi, and it might be beneficial if he played the ball where he can see, rather than blind backheals that invariable goes astray.

Clearest indication that Wenger has lost the dressing room. The players don't respect and cannot be motivated by him.
Re: The Arsenal players secret society
Somehow I can't imagine Nacho Monreal or Gabriel going for a pint in the Tollington.

Re: The Arsenal players secret society
I'd like to know at what point in that meeting one of them turned to Coquelin and said, "Hey Coq. Just an idea. How about you don't pointlessly plow through a bloke running harmlessly out wide on the half way line in such a stupid reckless fashion that you get sent off for two yellows, the first one being for an even more stupid handball? Huh? Maybe don't do that, huh?"
No?
Ok. Did anyone say; "Hey, Captain Stupid. Stop yelling and clapping and pointing and waving your arms like a headless chicken and do your job?"
No?
Fuck them then.

I've seen a few Gabriel-look-a-likes in assorted Ingerlish Wetherspoons, if that's any help.Robin_L wrote:Somehow I can't imagine Nacho Monreal or Gabriel going for a pint in the Tollington.

I think these meeting have as the No.1 issue on the agenda - How do we save the goose that lays the golden eggs?
Re: The Arsenal players secret society
Cant see why any player let alone theo felt this needed to be aired in public
he is only going to make himself and the rest look like a pile of bigger *word censored* when they next lose a game

And then there was the occassion the players convinced Wenger to change tactics, that must have been discussed amongst the squad.

They should claim part of his salary as a bonus.

Carefully stage managed PR from Pravda to let you know that
a) It s the players Fault
b) Its not the managers fault
c) We have mental strength
d) all of the above
You dont need to check on how you feel ,best beleive that none of this is real !

They can't. Says in his contract "must have worked for 30 years in football".foxinthebox2001 wrote:http://www.fourfourtwo.com/news/walcott ... al-meetingHenry Norris 1913 wrote:Intriguing, but when he says meeting. Got a link to the story?

Re: The Arsenal players secret society
agree with that herd, and whilst I can imagine previous players having a tear up behind closed doors it just dosent ring true to me that the current crop would raise their voices at each other because of the "mental togetherness" the all haveHerd wrote:Carefully stage managed PR from Pravda to let you know that

Re: The Arsenal players secret society
More political shit spouted by club mouthpieces.
If the squad had any balls or brains, they'd run the dressing room themselves as clearly happened between 96-06.
Normally it'd be a step in the right direction, but I cannot trust these PR conscious nancies.
It shouldn't be an 'EGM', it should be a regular occurrence.

Wally is a useless wankbag crunt who continually nominates himself to be spokesman AFTER he scores in a game
I love the way the players point to a draw against a team we have finished ahead of consecutively for almost two decades now, as proof that this pow wow worked

Re: The Arsenal players secret society
I wonder what the end game on this would really be? Wally obviously felt that it should be 'leaked' via an exclusive and if Wenger has 'ears everywhere', then this was done with his (and the Boards) permission.
I reckon that this is a ramped up version of a 'we really really really learned our lessons from before, honest.'
Either way, it is a load of bollocks and a PR gimmick to subdue the masses.
