McClaren sacked

Painted his teeth white and started talking shite; the writing was on the wall from then on.

Yes they have invested this season, but foreign players rarely adapt straight away and especially if they are coming into a club and team that are badly struggling. Shelvy and townsend are probably good signings for where they are and what they need, but their club and squad are in an awful mess and they will need to go down to sort it out 8)

And yet, and despite spunking £80-odd million quid, the management team decided that a defence consisting of Coloccini, Steven Taylor, and Jack Colback at left-back didn’t need reinforcing. Obviously can't lay all the blame at Shteeve's door, but it's a pretty piss-poor state of affairs.

Fuck ‘em.

Yes I agree totally regarding the lack of purchases in the defensive area, but isnt it generally accepted that their managers are not the one's who sign their players ?
No argument here. In fact I refer the honourable gentlemen to my second sentence.

meh, newcastle have spent most of their history being shite, don't see any reason why they should be challenging for europe.

small resources, pulling power nowhere near enough to compete with the traditional elite, terrible owner, history of mismanagement etc.

although they have a huge catchment area for local talent, but they haven't produced a waddle or shearer in a while now. maybe theres a reason for that- maybe the fact their kids won't get a chance ahead of the underperforming foreign "stars" they employ, like mitrovic and wijnaldum.

then again, that ginger bloke from sunderland and dummet play for them- maybe they should give up on their academy all together

Absolutely agree Henry me old mucker. I remember the so called "greatest fans in the country" in the late 80s regularly pulling in 15,000 and playing out on FA Cup tie in front of 9,000 against Bournemouth.

They even used to jizz themselves over Mirandinha !

Basket-case and soon to be relegated club Newcastle have just sacked the clueless McClaren. Benitez favourite to take over, although fuck knows why he'd want anything to do with them.
£4 million a year PLUS £2 mill if he keeps them up. Either that or they held a gun to his head Luca Brasi style 8)

He also has a get out clause if they go down, so no championship manager playing for him next season irrespective of how well he does.
