D-Day for Flamini

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I think these players are just badly advised by their agents sometimes. Diarra was silly to leave when he could have a first team place next year and Cesc had to sack his for trying to link him elsewhere.

Because he's free, clubs can offer a lot more wages for him than they normally would whereas Arsenal can't without damaging our transfer kitty/Arsene's morals. But then Juve are his childhood team, his dad is Italian and he has family there so there are other factors.

Perhaps Mr 'I'll only ever love Arsenal' Henry could have a word with him?

Don't expect one today either. It's not like Arsenal to keep us in the know. I suppose someone will say something either tomorrow or the day after.

Cant agree with you on this one augie. Arsenal have had a year to sign up Flamini on a contract. He could have left last summer if it was just for money. This season he has put his head down and run his bollocks off for the team.If another club comes in and offers him £20k a week more than we are can you honestly blame him.Wenger made a huge mistake letting Diarra go now he is making another one.We have a player who Cesc likes playing with(ooh yer)and they make a great partnership.A replacement for Flamini would cost more than he is asking for.

i hope he doesnt go and if im honest i dont think he will go

he plays with alot of passion and looks like he loves playing for the arsenal. Even if he does ask for some huge amount of money i think he is worth it for the amount of work he puts in each game
He seems like a genuine man and is in football for his love of the game not for the money.

Lets hope he does the right thing 8)

Just a reminder:

When we find out what Flamini ends up doing, can we not have a new 'Flamini signs!' or 'Flamini leaves' thread please?

Trust me in both scenarios, there'll be users who'll log in, not bother to check and start a new thread on Flamini

Or we have a board who would rather we paid off our debt for the new stadium and don't want to risk putting the club in trouble by giving wage rises to a lot of players this summer

how can you not want to play for us
we are 3rd in the league
we chucked the title away
we are out of the champions league
we are out of the FA cup
We are out of the Carling cup ( and lost to are derby team 5-1)
are board refuse to pay big wages

but looking on the brightside we are not man utd or the chavs and will win the quadruple next year and bring some decent players in the with a experienced background
