I think he's gone. The most annoying thing about the whole episode is that Wenger tells the media about this 'end of the month' deadline and yet nothing has been released by the club today regarding the issue.
Once more the fans are left wondering and wondering and wondering and wondering . . . . Typical Arsenal! Why can't they just be open?
Rant Over!

Looks likely that he'll be gone, but I've been looking at arsenal.com regularly, hoping for an announcement that he's staying.
The silence isn't necessarily a bad thing though: it suggests the club may still be trying to keep him, even if they are fighting a losing battle in trying to bridge the gap between Flamaini's financial demands (whether in wages or a signing-on fee) and the club's need to avoid encouraging other players doing the same thing.
Flamini's been straight about all this, but on a football level, I can't help thinking leaving would be a mistake for him - he's only had one decent season and it looks like he and Cesc complement each other well. He has the chance to move onto the next level in terms of his abilities. He can't know how well he'll fit in at Milan/Juve/Bayern, even if he does get great money for it.

as 26th said, the silence might be a good thing.
If the deal was a dead an buried as everybody has being saying they why wouldn't they of come out and said something.
Flamini is injured so has got a lot of time to mull his decision over, we should understand that for a player AC Milan is a HUGH deal, Massive infact, then add on to that the 60k a week on offer and you have to say that it would take a lot for him to stay.

That's a bit harsh Augie, given that we don't know for sure it is about money. It could be about guaranteed starting place or length of contract etc. If it is purely money then I have no problem with him trying to get the best deal for himself. His career could be over with one tackle so why shouldn't he maximise his income whilst he can?
If it is purely money then at least he hasn't gone public or almost swerved off the road in dis-belief at the offer. I blame the club for not breaking their very tight wage structure to keep a key player.
If he goes I'll be disappointed that he didn't choose to stay but I shall wish him no ill will.
