I have to agree there, DDignam. It's just fact - he is black and there is nothing wrong with that. It's a whole different thing to use the word "black" in a derogetory way. You have to qualify it by adding something like "b*stard" or "Dirty" etc. That is perceived as racist and rightly so.

I'm Irish and I have no problem with anyone calling me "Paddy" or "Mick"

. If, however, they say "Paddy b*stard" then I have to cut through the jibber jabber and introduce them to my friend paaaiiinnn...
