step back and look at things from a realistic perspective.Think you need to stop obsessing with what it says in the papers or what is being said on here.I mean come on man at one point you were adding together poll results from here and the offical forum to put forward the untenable nature of Wengers managerial role!! I have faith in Wenger in bringing through young players and encouraging attractive attacking football, plus being very prudent with the financial condition of the club (probably too prudent).

But how can you have such strong support for a manager who has put out teams for the last five years which:

Have trouble with even the basics of defending.

And who himself has shown an ongoing weakness in substitutions and tactics.

The defensive situation is a structural flaw in Wenger's management and unless it is remedied we will not win the league under him again.
It disturbs me greatly, especially because when Keown was brought in a defensive coach 2005 2006, he got clear results, but has not worked for the club since.

Quartz im hearing what your saying.For sure improvements need to be made and i feel we will see it.Im defending the fact that i dont think Arsene Wenger should leave his role as manager.I feel he's still the best man for the job.

Im not wanting him to go right now, I want him to be the manager he was 4, 5 years ago when we were great and had a truly fantastic team to rival anyone on the planet.

The manager shouldn't concern himself with the financial health of the club anymore, that period is over. We are making £220m from the football side of things of with only £20m is being taken out for interest and a massive £110m for the wage bill (different discussion but needs looking at).

I must admit spending on transfers full stop would not be sustainable but luckily we have the property development side of things to keep us going until the commercial deals are renegotiated and we have a fairer deal.

The managers biggest concerned should be doing his best to make the club successful on the pitch and in this case that is winning trophies. I don't believe thats where Arsene's priorities lie.

He is too concerned with not killing denilson and bentdner etc. that he is jeopardising the clubs chances of winning trophies and that is not good enough.

Finally none of these excuses the defending of our team which is pathetic.
