She is completely right and most of those excuses have been trotted out by our fans, managers and players. Its embarrassing. :banghead:
So then you posted the piece you did becayuse you don't agree with that about Arsenal being very successful both competitively and financially?

I don't agree with this being measured as success. That should just help us be more successful on the pitch.

By the way Martin, I don't read any of your posts, they are a bit boring
But good to see you haven't been put off by some of the unjustified abuse you have received recently, keep up the "good work"

Can i just say 1991 you need to calm down a little !!

step back and look at things from a realistic perspective.Think you need to stop obsessing with what it says in the papers or what is being said on here.I mean come on man at one point you were adding together poll results from here and the offical forum to put forward the untenable nature of Wengers managerial role!! FFS!! :banghead: :banghead:

John Cross is nothing more than a glorified blogger and knows as much about what is going on at Arsenal than you or i do.He has access to press conferences etc but all this stuff is reported anyway so he doesnt have any more info at his disposal than we do....the man said that we had signed Joe Cole and Mark Schwarzer over the summer!!

At the moment we are in last 16 of champs league, last 4 of CC,still in fa cup and a game in hand away from being second in the league-all that having played all our main rival except for the **** away from home. Its still all to play for.Wenger is going to be our manager until the summer at least so all of this is pointless.Lets see where we are at in May and judge the team then.

At the moment-

are we a club in crisis-no?
are we the best run club in europe-yes?
do we have a manager that cares about our club as much as we the fans do?-i believe yes.
do we have a manager who cares about the long term state of our club other than the years we'll have under his tenure-yes!
Do i believe Arsene is currently the right man for the job-yes!

I agree (not about the unjustified part ) but I don't think anyone would have a problem with you if you took an active involvement in the board with shorter more concise posts on threads topics that already exist not spamming the place with your own or hijacking threads. OK?

Just out of interest Jacky. How would you feel if we get knocked out the cup by Ipswich, get knocked out FA cup by Leeds. Loose to Barca and finish 3rd or 4th in the league?

Then in the summer Cesc leaves and no replacement comes in as we will have Ramsey and Jack.

Will you be happy and satisfied with that?

Lets be honest all of the above could easy happen

This isn’t a dig by the way, I just want to know how positive you are compared to myself.

I have faith in Wenger in bringing through young players and encouraging attractive attacking football, plus being very prudent with the financial condition of the club (probably too prudent).

But how can you have such strong support for a manager who has put out teams for the last five years which:

Have trouble with even the basics of defending.

And who himself has shown an ongoing weakness in substitutions and tactics.

The defensive situation is a structural flaw in Wenger's management and unless it is remedied we will not win the league under him again.
It disturbs me greatly, especially because when Keown was brought in a defensive coach 2005 2006, he got clear results, but has not worked for the club since.
Quartz im hearing what your saying. For sure improvements need to be made and i feel we will see it.Im defending the fact that i dont think Arsene Wenger should leave his role as manager.I feel he's still the best man for the job.

Im not wanting him to go right now, I want him to be the manager he was 4, 5 years ago when we were great and had a truly fantastic team to rival anyone on the planet.

The manager shouldn't concern himself with the financial health of the club anymore, that period is over. We are making £220m from the football side of things of with only £20m is being taken out for interest and a massive £110m for the wage bill (different discussion but needs looking at).

I must admit spending on transfers full stop would not be sustainable but luckily we have the property development side of things to keep us going until the commercial deals are renegotiated and we have a fairer deal.

The managers biggest concerned should be doing his best to make the club successful on the pitch and in this case that is winning trophies. I don't believe thats where Arsene's priorities lie.

He is too concerned with not killing denilson and bentdner etc. that he is jeopardising the clubs chances of winning trophies and that is not good enough.

Finally none of these excuses the defending of our team which is pathetic.

Mikey my old friend, hope you're well!

See this is exactly my point.......nobody knows what the seasons outcome is going to be until May so what im saying is that i see all of this ''Wenger out'' as being nothing put counter productive at the current time.As it stands were are the only club in all 4 competitions we entered at the start of the season

Im a realist, not a rose tinter.Im not shooting my mouth off saying we're gonna win this and that and i feel people shouldnt be on the opposite train either saying we'll fuck this and that up and win nothing. The fact of the matter is we dont know the outcome so lets reserve judgement till we do.

Spoken like a true Wenger fan. Avoid the direct question haha

I know your not a rose tinter and that you think we are the best and all that bollox.

I just wanted to know if you would have the faith in wenger that show you now, after another season of not winning anything and coming 3rd or 4th..... again.

Would you still think he is the best man if it starts going onto 7 years without any silver

As sad as it makes me, i really dont think we will win anything again this year. Unless he signs a new CB in time but thats a whole new debate.

1991 yesterday you were busy setting up polls to raise awareness of wanting the manager out and were looking to create a swell of support behind it.That to me is a funny way of showing you dont want him out!!!

Then you were sending the results of said poll to John Cross and Arseblog or whatever.

Today you're quoting media source 1,2,3,4,,twitter et al!
im dizzy from your qouting of this source and that source...all i'll say is dont be influenced by everything you read.

All I want is for Arsene to not feel like he isn't under any pressure and that we want trophies!

Convenient how you ignore the rest of my post too.
