On the train home, same old shit. Nasri wearing the armband just laughable, Squillaci useless as always, Djourou just as bad. I hear Wenger's saying we were tired after Germany? Christ, the season hasn't even started yet! Groundhog season again then... :banghead:

Hmmm, it also, to be fair, look quite a heavy pitch... :?
It's a heavy price on our wallets this year too.

No Dan, he said we were tired after 'heavy' training.

He forgot about the six subs he made at HT.

I'm really waiting for the day when the opposition team has a player called Claude Fatigue, who hits a hattie against us after being 2-0 down... then Wenger can finally trot out that hackneyed line without sounding like a complete prick... :?

Also, I see the "new ideas" they've been working on for defending set pieces this week is basically just zonal marking :worried:

Just got back from the game. Dreadful defensive performance. Glad to hear Nasri get some stick at the start (although Wenger got a nice big, excited cheer when he came out). Highlight of the day was a guy behind me saying to his mates after only 10 minutes, "shall we leave 15 minutes before the end to miss the crowds"?

Nothing will change this season - or as long as Wenger stays in charge. Seeing the likes of Eboue running around like a headless chicken and hearing people clutching at straws about the likes of Frimpong just make me despair. We are in big trouble and even the addition of a couple more players will not solve the problem.

Just got home. Was sat in block 20 with the Boca fans and my overriding thoughts from the day were: I wish we could generate an atmosphere half as good as that. Absolutely incredible atmosphere and they were good natured too, well played Boca fans.

As for the match: Nothing we didn't know from last season really. Jenkinson looks a decent prospect but isn't ready for premier league football yet. Squillaci looked suspect at the back again and got caught out a few times. Nasri went missing second half as usual. Djourou isn't the defender people make him out to be and was shrugged off far too easily for their second goal.

we're not quite in big trouble, pool everton, spurs are worse than we are.

But 4th isn't going to cut it this time, i dont think the fans can take this anymore. Under wenger we know we'll never have the best defence, but give the team a chance, invest in the defence, CB, DM and LB.

End of transfer window then i'll go nuts.

Boca fans were excellent despite the small number in that corner. Love the umbrellas, it's a real South American thing... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0l3yYAMKLoA

Could you imagine if we could get the E******s rocking like that? Would be worth 10-15 points a season at home easily. Everyone says the atmosphere is shit there, but that's only because the plastic fans who frequent it make it shit.

Whenever a european side comes in, their corner is always loud! It's the arsenal fans that make the grove a soulless bowl.

Would love it, but it'll never happen for numerous reasons :( Health & safety would never allow it. I saw the dayglo nazis go steaming in, totally over the top earlier when something exploded in their section... :awnker:

Hahaha yeah that was just some little banger thing and you'd think a bomb had gone off! Didn't know the club employed that many stewards!!

If they were at the Bridge last year when the flare went off they'd have probably banned the entire away support for life. I hate home games :banghead: :banghead:

So what youre telling me is after only spending big money on an attacking player this summer, the attacking players we already had scored and we couldnt defend lost a 2 goal lead and he has bought NO defenders    against recently relegated Boca

Youre shitting me

Arsene knows  :awnker:
