As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Lovely to see Putin and Blatter together ,they make such a great couple .
It is a surprise though that Russia have not staged the world cup before though whereas the USA did long before them despite having little pedigree as opposed to the Russians who have !
Watching proceeding with this is surely the definition of orgasmic schadenfreude. Platini meanwhile cant engage in football activities for 90 days- apparently seen selling his Fifa 2016 package back the The Game outlet in Paris on Friday
However the pawn shop werent so interested in the watches he had
Shocking admission from Blatter that World Cup destinations were pre-decided. Not shocking that it's true but shocking that he admitted it.
At the end of the day the FA fucked it. They should have pulled out, blown the whistle and brought the whole thing crashing down. We won't get a World Cup in the next few decades anyway snd it would have been the right thing to do. Instead whilst 99% of our complaints are valid, the fact that the FA played their game right until the end (and lost) makes it too easy to dismiss as bitterness.

They've either already got serious question marks against them or they're from countries mired in corruption. Or both.
Anything other than an independent body to oversee FIFA dealings will leave us where we are now.
It's a joke isn't it. Platini was always a conniving corrupt prick who pursues his own interests, thankfully
I noticed that Jerome Champagne is running. This bloke came on the radio for about 20 minutes the day after the first real Blatter scandal broke and he 'resigned' and gave an impassioned defence of him. Arrogant prick condescendingly lectured about how people (i.e. 'the English') don't understand how FIFA works and how it's actually made up of confederation delegates so it's the confederations that have the problem not FIFA. Absolutely astounding, he is the closest bloke to Blatter who isn't under federal investigation.
Blatter is a corrupt wanker, but the idea that every bit of corruption leaves with him is laughable. The entire organisation is corrupt, and unless it is completely rebranded with none of the old guard, then Blatter may as well have stayed on.

True...those Russians do love their football......
