mate, he's obviously the one who wanted out from the beginning. i understand he wants to move to a club that's been more successfull and that will pay him almost twice, i just think that all those words of wanting to fight for titles at arsenal, loving the club, captain and all that, and then releasing that statement to make his position untennable... that's all agent bullshit, he's just like any other player out there, which i understand, but then don't come up with the i want to do it at the club shit.the playing mantis wrote:but bg, if we only accepted there bid he didnt have much choice. he wants to win stuff. money obviously is a factor, but ultimatly he wants to win stuff. we all know he wont win stuff here.
by all accounts had he changed his mind and wanted to stay (as some have suggested happned) the club would have sold him anyway as they had signed giroud and pod in anticipation of his leaving (as admitted by aw). had he stayed these 2 wouldnt have been signed, and having signed them it would have screwed the club as they couldnt make the cash back. they would have forced him out.
its up to the club not to sell him to supposed rivals they were not forced to accept uniteds bid, knowing all the consternation it would cause.

Disagree. Will only debate points that are objective-based i.e can't be proven either way. Anything to do with facts he side-steps. Calls my point about making the most out of commercial deals moronic. Is it not fair that as a team selling its best players every year and not competing for the title, we won't make as much as say United or City?? How is that moronic? It's basic marketing /business sense. If he thinks that the panacea for our woes is signing new sponsorship deals in 2014, then he's deluded.augie wrote:SantaPoldi wrote:JD is the biggest WUM on the Forum. Don't agree with that - we disagree on almost everything AFC at the moment but I don't doubt that his posts are genuine feelings even though I don't agree with them and sometimes am baffled by them![]()
We don't all have to have the same thoughts on Arsenal matters to be genuine Gooners and this place would quickly die a death if we were all the same
