Toure's going!

Terrible decision IMO. Gallas will most certainly walk out on a free next summer and Silvestre is still here for maybe another year (hopefully not.. ).

Toure has a few years left in the tank is experienced and most of all is not a wanker like Gallas/Silvestre.

Irish Gooner, I admire your policy if only using nice guys rather then those with ability but I fear that would certain ensure we didn't get into top 4

gallas was last season the best defender at the club bar none, we conceded 37-38 league goals so something has to give. yes we all like toure because he has been a good servant to the club but time stands still for no man and the guy just isnt a great centre half anymore, plus add in the ACN and the fact he is in the last year of his contract then its a good deal, but i will add wenger better bring in better

If it goes through I wish the guy well.

Put top effort in and showed some determination that a few of the current squad could learn from.

Believe it when I see it. Got loads of texts last week saying he was having a medical for Citeh while we were watching him train right infront of us in Austria!

He was saying he doesn't want to go, but then again he is a footballer!

Ah, yes... the "loyalty" bonus!

And I thought he retracted his transfer request in January because of his love and loyalty for Arsenal!  :-P

Sky sports news have got kolo's agent saif ruby on the phone and he said the usual bullshit that he didnt got for the money (even thu he is going to get 120k-a-week) and he is going for the revalution and ambiton of the club. cough*bullshit*cough.

Said that kolo enjoyed his 8 years at arsenal and it felt like a 2nd home, he owes alot to wenger, the club and the fans.

Sad to see the last invicible leave the club and would have prefered silvetre and senderos to go before him, but i dont think we couldnt turn our nose's up at 16mill for a player with a years contract remaining, only downside we are complaining about inexperience and we go and sell our most experienced player. :banghead: :banghead:

it'll be well funny when city come to the arsenal and kolo gets a good reception, barn-door's ears prick up, his ego takes over and expects a lot more of the same...

Eh? Gallas will walk on a free next summer and Silvestre is utter shit.

I don't want nice guys either.
