That sums him up perfectly.

We cant compete in terms of wages with the super rich chelsea and the debt gambling man u.

Fallacy, our average wage bill is on a par with both those clubs

Our team definately has its holes and is not good enough to win this league IMO. However i dont agree with all this.. 'name your price for rob green' and 'get 'kenwin jones' shit.

I think that spending our money on shit like jones who scores fuck all would be a bigger error than not buying at all.
I dont think we'll get anyone tomorrow and I think we'll finish 3rd. But I still believe in Wenger, the man is a top draw boss and this result doesn't change that for me. We cant compete in terms of wages with the super rich chelsea and the debt gambling man u.
Lets see what happens next sunday. Im still hoping for 7 points from these 4 games.. which means 2 wins lol
 I thought we had the 2nd HIGHEST wage bill last year, so bang goes that argument if the tv reports i was watching were correct.

As soon as we come up against quality opposition, we fail. It happened against Manure, Chelsea and now Manure again.
I think we'll still get a top four spot but we definitely will not win a trophy this season.

Oh well.......at least the loan is getting paid off nice and quickly, never mind the team. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
oh shut the fuck up with the gloating 'proved what a lot of us already believed to be the case'

we are good enough, and we could have won the league, or at least gone the whole way. it doesnt matter if weve lost against man u and chelsea, in the 08 season out of the top four mini league we finished first, but we finished 4th overall in the league. those games have no difference. stop being so over dramatic. its all the other games against the mid table and lower league sides that count.

this team is good enough to win the league if it wasnt for the stupid mistakes some players make from time to time which has ultimately cost us points.
No I won't shut up
No I'm not gloating, and
No, this team is not good enough to win the league

Yes, it does matter that we lost against Manure and Chelsea
Yes, those games do make a difference
Yes, there were pletny of stupid mistakes and it is those mistakes that mean we're not good enough.

Believe me, I'm not happy about today and I would much rather have come on here and celebrated a famous win. Unfortunately because some of our players are clearly not good enough and made a lot of mistakes I'm unable to do that.
Blame them, not me

yeah but how many of our poor/average players are on wages that accumulate to nearly 150k?

denilson, almunia, eboue and diaby < rooney in terms of ability, work rate and even commercial value!

Don't know what source you're using but it's wrong.

Arsenal's wage bill was just £2m less than Manchester United's, according to figures from Deloitte and Touche

100% correct.

Fucking embarrasing really isn't it when you look at the other differences.

If we weren't highest priced ticket prices in the world and if we weren't the second highest wage payer in the land then this current crop of shyte would be a lot easier to digest

Nail on the head Selsdon - We pay the highest ticket prices in england and fill the stadium up week in week out. Where is that money reinvested because its not going on transfers.....?
