The Official Arsenal v Sheffield Utd Thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Quality comments from their manager. He couldn't praise us more if he tried. Not only the players but "The whole ethos that runs throughout the club".

I have tried and will keep trying to make others defect. You will find you and Diggers agree a lot of the time. I think you will get on well.

Just watched the first half on ATV. God we were poor for the first 5 mins. Should have palyed eboue.

What a fabulous performance. They're just boys, and I don't mean that in a patronising sense. The maturity of play is amazing for a bunch of teenagers. difficult to pick out players but Ramsey, Wilshere and Vela have been outstanding.

Best performace in the Beer Cup for years. Would love to see this starting eleven up against a premier league team, think they could hold their own with most.

Gibbs got caught once

Song tried to trap a ball he should have booted out

Other than that, cannot really fault anything tonight!

I was at the game,

Obvious Things:

Wilshere is scary for a 16 year old

Ramsey grafts and sets up goals

Bendtner!!!!!!!

Vela!!!!!!!!!!!

Things that may not get picked up on:

Coquelin was very tidy when he came on and filled in at right back

Randall was in the words of a friend, "Quietly effective". He started slowly but got into game and tackled well in second half

Simpson made a good dummy run pull a defender wide and allow Vela his third goal
