Chelsea FC plc today announced that results for the financial year end June 30, 2010 show the group had become cash positive for the first time since its acquisition by Roman Abramovich. The club had a positive cash inflow of Â£3.8m in the year compared to a net outflow of Â£16.9m in the previous year.The club believes it is now well positioned to meet UEFA's financial fair play rules.

Can't remenber on which of the countless transfer threads there is a rumour about Bendtner, but Guardian saying they've heard a rumour he's going to Newcastle for Â£17m.

Agreed. If they are offering anything like that we should snatch their hand off. However AW will just put in the bank and say he has a strong enouhg squad.

I would have said Â£17m for him is bonkers but Â£35m for Carroll..............

Thatâ€™s the catch-22. Iâ€™d rather suck a queef through a curly-wurly straw straight out of Susan Boyleâ€™s rag-infested fanny than say no to Â£17m for Bendtner. But thereâ€™s no way weâ€™d get any kind of replacement in in time (or even if it had happened a week ago, knowing Wenger) & within a fortnight you just know weâ€™d be back to playing Arshavin up front on his own.

Why not? Newcastle have got 35 million burning a hole in their pocket and if they want a striker within 2 hours of the window closing then they play by our rules.
