Kai Havertz

It comes to something when there's a need to big up a 5 yard simple lay off as evidence that Havertz might be turning a corner.

Fuck me, how low does the bar have to be set? It's how people used to claim that Xhaka had a good game, when he'd actually done fuck all, but hadn't made a fuck up to cost us a goal, or hadn't got sent off.

"Good performance from Havertz today."

"Really, what did he do?"

"Err, well.....he didn't trip over his own laces."

Apparently Havertz wears those new Laceless Boots.

Actually it was / is £65 Million.... BUT either way a Complete Mistake and what a Waste Of Money when we could have had numerous other very decent players for less than that. :?

Are we starting to think this could be our worst ever signing?

If you think of Arsenal "big buys" then obvs Pepe always gets mentioned but to be honest his first season impact wasn't anywhere near as bad as is made out and I think the stats will bear that out.

Was really hoping he was just suffering a Chav hangover (and as we saw yesterday, there are still a good few of them caught in that nightmare), but despite the manager's seemingly endless faith, he just isn't having the impact. Yesterday against the worst PL team I've probably seen since Derby, it was his chance, and he didn't take it

It really is quite something isn't it?

Started arguably with cry baby Gallas - the worst Arsenal captain ever - exchanged with C Hole, and what has it been since then......Cech, David Luiz, Willian, Havertz. What a list! The only one I can remember who was any good was Diarra and we fucked him off way too soon

Thinking back over my extensive time only George Graham stands out as a good signing , although I wished at the time that we had kept Joe Baker.
John Hollins , nice guy did his job but was always one of theirs

Benayoun wasn't bad, on loan. Granted we signed him at the arse-end of his career anyway, so we couldn't get the best out of him; but whenever he played I thought he did quite well*.

*That season was a shit show, so it could be fair to say that the bar to measure how good Benayoun really was for us, is quite low.

devils advocate and all that but was gallas a cry baby?, or an actual winner that broke down as a result of the shite he was surrounded by and managed by back then.

I was at that game when gallas threw his toys out of his pram at the end of the game... As the captain you would have thought that he (Gallas) would have been more concerned about Eduardo after that Horrendous ankle / leg break by the disgusting piece of filth martin Taylor.

We drew (2 -2) because of a late non-existent pen awarded by that CuntMikeDean the Ref when the Birmingham player dived

I remember McLiesh the Birmingham manager doing a post-match interview saying that he (Taylor) wasn't a dirty player etc etc . It more or less ended Eduardo's (at the time) Top Flight career - He was quite small but had amazing technique & skills and used to score for fun. He came back but was never the same...
