ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

We're already getting beltters on social media over this
No longer our player.

I get that, but won't stop the fans of other clubs piling on,interesting that he got charged after we let him go

We played him when he was our player as he hadn’t been charged. Pretty simple stuff. Will have no bearing on social media, agreed.

The timing doesn't reflect on us; it reflects terribly on the public prosecution service. Almost as if there were an Arsenal fan in a position of influence there...

And therein lies the issue Perry.

The mentality of the club has never really changed. We're never prepared to take the steps we need to take in order to achieve success and then truly dominate. One big money signing every decade then a procession of average players brought in who aren't good enough when it matters. It will never change.

Yep, that's about it. As you say, it's never been any different.

Well, it might have been different back in the 1930s, but we'll have to ask DB about that.
he would have been middle aged and a busy working man at that stage.....very early 1900's is his forte

Was he one of the Dial Square "Ultras", cutting up rough on Plumstead Common?

I believe he looked rather dandy in his stove-pipe hat riding a penny farthing  :)

Trouble was the stove-pipe hat nearly doubled his height and he needed a step ladder to climb on board  :D

🚨 @GoldbergCFC:

Viktor Gyökeres is more likely to sign for Arsenal than Benjamin Šeško, as of this moment. 🇸🇪

It is now clear that the Arsenal hierarchy and Arteta have chosen Gyökeres. Berta has travelled to the Portuguese capital a few times and negotiations are going well with his agent and Sporting. There is a lot of optimism from the Gunners that a deal can be done soon. [@espn]

I prefer Gyökeres. I remember watching Sesko at the last Euros, he looked meh to me. Not worth the sum being bandied about.

🚨 BREAKING from @jordandaviesj:

There is a growing sense of fear & anxiety at the Red Bull Arena around the future of Benjamin Sesko.

They are in DESPERATE NEED to sell players to rebuild their squad after missing out on Champions League football last season.

Arsenal still haven't made a bid for Benjamin Sesko & he's still on holiday as he waits for Arsenal to make their move.

Leipzig need to cut their wage bill by at least 20% to balance the books & need funds to provide a competitive group of players for new manager.

The issue is that Arsenal have still not made a bid & that is seriously worrying the German club.

Negotiations over a fee that both clubs are happy to shake hands on are at a stalemate. 🇸🇮 ⏳ 💣
