ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

man utd lurking in the background.....if given a chance whats the betting they wrap up the deal in a day.....

imagine if utd do sign him and he scores 30 goals in the premiership ...

very unproffessional dealings with both gyokeres and sesko......they knew they were dealing with a difficult customer should not have put his back up fuckin around at the start....

all that set against the chav signing....how quickly was that done with no haggling ....a player we dont even need FFS

medical booked and deal wrapped up.

If this window goes the way of previous windows i cant see legohead making it to xmas, with 2 ex chav mis-firing duds in the starting lineup not being fed by the continuously non assisting ohdeargod its gonna get ugly really really quickly!!

I also notice the press gave legohead a super easy time when it came to questions......that'll change soon enough when they smell blood!

The Sporting Chairman Varandas, sounds like an arsehole, but we are looking small time once again. From the information out there, the 10m add ons are in 3 or 4 segments, some based around appearances and then CL qualification or the like.

We're apparently arguing over the final 2.5m add on, which we want to make a higher bar than Sporting want. For fuck's sake, a 70m transfer and we're haggling over the degree of difficulty of a 2.5m add on. I know you can't believe all you read, but given our usual low balling and general incompetence, I don't doubt this is true.

If you want the bloke, just agree to the terms and move on. Get the player acclimatised to his new team and hit the ground running in the new season. Do something radical, like winning a trophy because you've got a proper goal scorer and the club generates far more than 2.5m

If this falls through, which I'm starting to think might happen, then don't expect Lego Head to sign a striker that automatically puts Havertz out of the starting eleven. If he buys anyone, it will a squad level player. Get ready for the propaganda about how Havertz looks like a world beater and is raring to go.

This fiasco with Sporting is beginning to look like summer 2003, when Wanka thought he had an agreement with Sporting for a 18-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, only for Man United to steal him from under his nose at the last minute.

Wenger would probably have ruined his career Bob. The occasional League Cup run out, the odd 5 minutes at the end of a game where we were 4-0 up, then loaned out to Walsall for a season, back for another wasted season at ours, barely kicking a ball for the first team, then loaned out to Bradford, before selling him to Bury when he was 24 and his top flight hopes in the dustbin.

Seen the old fucker do it countless times.

Yep. I said it on here the other day....Liverpool are a properly run club that generally get transfers done efficiently and quickly. They also never seem to let the whole world know in advance who they're targeting and thereby avoiding the risk of being gazumped by the Chavs, R Madrid etc.

Our lot are a fucking embarrassment.

🚨 Arsenal are pushing to pay a fixed fee for Gyökeres in 4 instalments, but Sporting want bonuses:
– €2.5m for his first 20, 40 & 60 games
– €2.5m if Arsenal qualify for the UCL

SCP are also demanding an extra €1.2m if the structure is changed.
Gyökeres is now exchanging legal letters with the club.

🚨 JUST IN from @marca:

Christian Mosquera hopes to travel to Singapore as soon as possible to meet with Arsenal, who will try to make his signing official in the coming hours.

He has been waiting for several days with his parents & agent to resolve minor documentation issues.
