The fact is that was one of the weakest united side's to play us and we had, apart from RVP, our best 11. We made them look world class.

It's the latter point that is spot on and just frightening. Assuming next year they strengthen - transfer market wise - and we.....er.............errrrr............well...........you know.............do..........errrrrrr.......sort of..........

Probably 1 - 5 next year then !

When I saw Vidic wasn't in their team I felt a bit positive, must admit.

I'm not going to repeat all the stuff about the uselessness of our overpaid prima donnas, except to say that I was in the front row of the top tier today and nearly toppled to my death when less than average Al passed to nani. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

perhaps I should have done it. The game might have been abandoned. :-P

Apart from all the stuff mentioned above, the thing that really got me today was the lack of effort. If we got the ball in mid field there'd be a couple of mancs pressing. If they got it we'd be standing off looking like we couldn't be bothered. If they broke they stormed upfield with 4. (reminded me of a certain team with Pires, Henry, Ljungberg...) A number of times we broke and had no one to pass to. After we scored, I know it was probably futile but we were roaring them on and half of them looked like they couldn't wait to get off the pitch.

If we're going back to being a mediocre team I would prefer to have "donkeys" who care and try, than panthers that don't give a shit.

Arsene, I used to love you man, but as that arsehole Cromwell said "You have sat here too long for all the good you have done. In the name of God, now go."
While we have wankers like Almunia and Denilson playing for us we will never win the league. Clichy was awful today but then the whole team were shite, we made a mediocre united side look like the worlds best team!!!!!

Surely a performance like this makes Wenger open his fucking eyes and buy someone or 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Probably not :banghead:

The only upside of the day was i met up with Frank and his mate for a drink and also met my new best mate Sami   he does actually seems like a nice lad
Yes, it was good to see you today Flash, and Sami, he is a nice lad.

TBH manure are world class, even with a depleted side and cosidering they lost one of the worlds best players last year.

We have to aspire to be at that level, fuck that hurts to admit it as well as it hurts to admit that fergie out thought aw when he changed his system midway throught the first half. aw had no answer, proving again that aw is second best to fergie.

You cannot expect to beat United without a striker on the pitch, we need a keeper who is worthy of the shirt, we need a real striker, Song was the only player who I think gave his best, Arshavins decision making was frustrating today a few times he could have passed to Cesc in the middle of the box unmarked and he chose to be selfish, Once again we have shown that we do not have bite when faced with real opposition, the last time we won a meaningful game against United when both teams were up for it was 2005 when we won the FA cup with the like of Vieira... am I the only one who finds this unacceptible??? Too many thoughts too little time. Just gutted today.

Connolly55 wrote:Ok heres my reflection on todays game. Firstly, i was actually shocked to see Denilson in the starting line up, as he was poor at Villa. A few early scares i would hope would have woke us up. The first goal came, now, the commentators seemed to bang on about how good the skill was, but if you look from a defensive point of view, it terrible. Clichy and Nasri should no way be letting him past, show him line at the very least, the effort to get back once they were beaten was poor aswell, Denilson was put on his back side, and then Almunia, god only knows what he was doing.

The second goal, caught on the break, this goal showed the difference in the two teams in my eyes. Rooney gets the ball pretty much on his own area, spreads it to Nani and gets on his bike, his determination to get in the box, along with Park was great, where as Denilson, Gallas and Clichy were trotting back.
The third goal, why we were caught out again i'll never know, Clichy has to go across, make Park pass it across, to give the defenders a chance to get back, but he didnt, and park finished. Almunia beaten at his near post yet again.

Another thing i will point out, in terms of chances, i think we had some decent ones, but thats what the difference is between good teams and great teams, at half time we could easily been 2 or 3 up. Its about being clinical infront of goal. Chelsea away now has turned into a must win game.
The first goal, obviously, was the keeper's fault. The useless Al could tip it over the bar!

The second goal, Clichy should have to foul Rooney before he passed it to Nani. But again, if you watch the highlight, Denilson was the man near Rooney who is obviously unmark. If he has a sense of doing any defensive work, Rooney can't score the goal easily. I may be biased. But I don't want to see Denilson anymore in the team. So many times, this *word censored* gave up to chase the ball in the last couple of games. Man, you are the defensive midfielder. Anyway just fuck off!!

The third goal. Again, it's the great assist from our world-class brazilian play-maker Denilson. No one would expect that he miscontrolled an esay ball to the Utd player. He is just fucking brilliant again today. Well done Denilson :barscarf: :barscarf:

Yesterday is one of the first times being an Arsenal fan i sat there and felt embarrased...it was an embarrasing display from almost everyone involved! a complete joke!

Arshavin didnt use the ball well at all, but to be honest being played through the middle on his own was always going to be difficult!

I NEVER critisize Wenger but yesterday playing those three as the front three was wrong, having said that what other options did he have if Bendtner wasnt fit enough to start?

Almunia is getting worse and worse, its definitely time for Fabianski to come in!

Denilson was poor but i feel he is being used due to the fact Diaby is injured, he wont play when Diaby, Fabregas and Song are fit, he is back up.

The defending at times was utter rubbish, i know we struggle to defend at the best of times but yesterday was on a different level, we constantly got caught and could have been beaten by more than 2 goals

All in all a massive dissapointment in a game in which i think most people had high hopes...Im not one to go on about buying players as you know but i feel a couple of deadline day deals would lift things among the crowd and the team, we will see what happens?!

You can blame the players but the one man who should shoulder the blame is Wenger its he who picks the shit. The manager has to carry the can

Last 4 visits to the Grove by Chelsea and Man United we have shipped THIRTEEN goals.Yet Wenger is still going ahead with project Wenger. He is not going to change. So when Cesc leaves in the summer get used to a midfield of Denilson Diaby Song and Nasri :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

No wonder Wenger turned down the Madrid job he wouldnt have lasted 6 months

LeftfootlegendGooner wrote:Its pretty simple really, ship out at least 8 players and bring in new ones that can handle the pl, its that desperate that we missed diaby today

This is a piss poor side when compared to The Arsenal sides over the last 10 years.

Fuck waxing lyrical when we beat bolton, wolves etc, truth is when we play teams at the business end we are well short, after 3 minutes of todays game i told my brother we are gonna get spanked it was that fucking obvious, men against boys, outplayed in every department agianst a patched up manure side.

If wenger cant see it then unfortunately it is time to consign a legend to the past.

Horrible to watch, said exactly the sames after 5 mins to my mates. Chelsea all over again......................It is such a petty beacuse I think this could be really avoided.

:?

A sad day indeed.

TO AND FOR THE WRONG TEAM

Please Wenger, put Mannone back in for the rest of the season. Theres nothing to lose.
Hate to say it but mannone like fabianski are worse than almunia. We need to sign a keeper, i like that begovic at pompy. 3mil and he is ours but that would disrupt mannone's potential. :banghead:
No I defiantly agree that Mannone or Flappy aren't that better and we need to buy asap. BUT having awful Al in the team already knocks the confidence of the whole back 4 plus numerous other players.

Couldn't agree more. He's been doing the same thing over the last few games. His attitude seems extremely poor and I don't care if he's playing out of position, NO excuse
