here we are:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-41397402
foreign holidays starting to become unaffordable.
I predict the return of Hi De Hi as we all go back to the good old days of the 1950s British Holiday camps
that is what the Brexiters wanted after all isn't it ?
It could be worse the people at the lower end of the pay scale would love a Hi De Hi holiday mate. Its people like you that turn their nose up at such things that caused the Brexit vote in the first place
fair enough
I know lots of people cant afford a holiday full stop.
the point here though is Brexit will mean EVEN FEWER people will be able to afford a holiday, whether it is here in the UK or abroad.
a lot of people voted for Brexit because they felt that they had nothing to lose. my argument was that unless you were homeless that was complete rubbish - lots of people had a lot more to lose than they realised.
I think people are really more concerned with making ends meet than their next holiday to the Carribbean!
And this is before Brexit.....
On another note!
Why invest thousands of pounds for a week or two in some god forbidden cess pit, fed 3rd rate food, booze that is a notch up from meths, and then find out that your flight is cancelled by French Air Traffic Controllers!....
i wasn't really thinking quite as far as the Caribbean....more our close neighbours across the channel.
and I didn't realise that the UK was now the food and drink capital of the world, and had the best climate too. My apologies

No point in going to the Caribs now ,unless your a carpenter or a builder .
The pound will rebound at some stage ,the euro is fundamentally weak ,what will remoaners do then I wonder.
Tell .me Rob how is it that you know why brexiters voted ?
You seem know a lot about thei mindset of us pesky out people.
Jezza corbyn is a brexit man under his super hero uniform .
he must be a right winger then .

Herd susses out my Caribs example with aplomb! Old Skool or what!....
Now I know those Hurricanes were terrible out there and there is a lot of rebuilding work to be done, but what smacks of greed is when Mr Virgin island owner begs for cash to rebuild his oasis, fuck him! Get assistance to the needy, not some jumped up arsehole who hid in his bomb proof cellar....

the hard left are just as much for Brexit as the right wing - all nutters
Corbyn will never get elected as PM as he won't appeal to enough of the country. it really is that obvious.
I dont quite get the hype over the guy. his followers appear to be like a cult. very similar to the AKBs and Wenger
funny how both men are the same age and work in Islington

Jesus wept. 6 months on and nothing changes. Well done for flying the flag Rob. Sadly it seems that most brexiters would rather destroy the country than accept the evidence in front of them every day.

Andrew Swaffield, Monarch’s chief executive, said the effects of terrorism have played a huge part in the airline’s collapse.
In a letter to staff, he wrote: “The root cause is the closure, due to terrorism, of Sharm-El- Sheikh and Tunisia and the decimation of Turkey.
Just saying .

very selective...I would expect nothing else
this is what I saw
"British holidaymakers were deterred from travelling by the weak pound and fares fell. Uncertainty around Brexit, including fundamental questions over whether British carriers will still have the right to operate freely in Europe, is said to have deterred potential buyers from rescuing Monarch"
